Swansea were playing the likes of Newport & Wrexham, and we usually beat all three comfortably back in the days when we virtually owned the Welsh Cup. I suppose for younger fans, Swansea is a bigger game because they have had a bit of success in recent times, but the rivalry you first experience in your younger days tends to stay with you forever.
Yes that right, just as lots of younger Swansea fans, don’t really think there’s much of a rivalry with Cardiff anymore.
Or the ones that only started supporting Swansea when they got promoted

Same for me, Bristol city was always our derby game, never used to give the tramps down west a second thought.

I don't disagree but he hasn't answered the question.

I don't think there will be much in it attendance wise. I guess a lot will depend on league positions etc., and how many away fans make the trip. If I had to bet on it, I would guess the Bristol game might draw the biggest crowd as I have a feeling they may be promotion contenders this season.

Probably one of the big teams like Leeds, maybe not so many at the smaller teams near the bottom like Bristol, Barnsley and Swansea?
I’ll make a prediction and that is unless you are top of the league, the only match you’ll definitely get a sellout is V Swansea.

I think the swansea derby will the last for a very long time as its obvious which direction both clubs are travelling. After this season a cup tie will be the only chance of us meeting as I see it.There will be alot of people in 2040 saying I was there the last time city stuffed the jacks in 2019.

We have both Bristol Clubs almost as close to us as Swansea and Newport 8 miles away whereas they only have us. Its like they want all our attention but will never get it.
Iv said it before and only speaking personally but I dislike Bristol City far more than the Jack's and have always felt that theres more of a hatred between the two City's add in the England/Wales aspect.

I’m glad you dislike Bristol more than Swansea.
I actually worked with some Bristol city fans in the past and can’t even remember them mentioning Cardiff. Rovers yes, Plymouth yes, even West Brom, but don’t recall them mentioning you lot.
Anyway Bristol city, aren’t exactly Man Utd are they lol.
Not even a well supported club, in relative terms, with the size of the city itself.

I remember when the main derby game was against Swindon.
This year Bristol City will probably be a much bigger draw because they'll be challenging at the upper part of the table, whilst I think it's now obvious that Swansea are unfortunately approaching a low ebb and will probably be struggling to avoid League one.
Whether many people will want to pay to watch an easy game like Swansea I don't really know, although a lot of their fans will perhaps travel down the short distance and possibly bring their caravans, extended families and numerous dogs for the weekend.
Yes in fact didn’t we as kids on the grange end sing we hate Bristol City we hate Swindon Town in one of the chants no mention of Swansea

I've been going since the early 70's and have always regarded Swansea as the bigger rivalry. It's partly to do with living west of Cardiff and having to share the trains on international days. Even when we weren't playing them was a fair bit of contact.
