For the first time, I find myself questioning whether Neil is the right man for us next season.

Not because it’s looks like we will go down (always likely) and not because we lost yesterday, but because of his comments on Murphy post game.

To put a league 2 player onto the bench, ahead of Murphy in a must win game (a player who tore Fulham to shreds earlier on the season), because he worked harder in training ‘this week’ is shocking; to confound it with the message that he hopes it gives him a kick up the butt for next week makes it worse. There may not be a next week. To also take quality out of the squad when we had first team regulars like Arter and Ralls out makes it even more mystifying.

To then see Healy come on ahead of Reid, makes me question why Warnock is always putting ‘graft’ ahead of ‘talent’...and whether he has possibly been doing so all season at the expense of the team.

It’s likely that we will have ‘some’ money to spend next season - his record with money/talent suggests he won’t use it wisely.

Dont think people are ungrateful for what NW has done - bloody miracle in fact. Question is, with one year left in his contract, is it best for the club if he stays one more season, or is the change better coming earlier.

Some certainly are ungrateful; that is clear :(

And that ingratitude is somewhat confirmed by asking whether the man who set a record number of promotions when he took a divided, strife-laden and unfancied team to the Premier League in just 18 fantastic months

This season, Sala apart, has hardly been a disaster, has it?

We were supposed to be 'simply not up to it' and 'relegatrd by Xmas with a record low score'

But it didn't happen and Cardiff City FC and it's real supporters should be proud that we performed so well under the circumstances. We even changed a few pundit minds along the way

Regardless of what happens over the next two games, we should've proud of our club, manager, and players

It’s all down to lack of ambition by Vincent Tan and the club. Relying on Championship players will not keep you in the Premiership. When Troy-Deeney was unhappy at Watford in the Summer, also RonDon why didn’t Tan pay the 30 million for Troy-Deeney asking price ? Deals should have been done in the Summer. Tan wanting to keep us up on a shoestring budget,Tan clearly lacking ambition, he should sell his shares in Cardiff City, to someone who wants the best for Csrdiff City. This is why thousands of Cardiff city season ticket holders won’t renew their season tickets this year. This is the second time that Tan could have kept us in the Premier league and he has failed to back Cardiff City. “Shame on you Vincent Tan” I will not be renewing my season ticket next year.

Is this for real - just a stupid post if so. Nothing to do with Tan and money isn’t always the answer - just look at Fulham.

We’ve spent £40m on players in the last couple of seasons and none of them played yesterday.

Not entirely true he was given a decent amount but wasted millions in a second choice goalie and LB.

Before you attack me like I have already said he has been fantastic for our club and those calling him to leave are idiots.

But he also deserves to be criticised for his transfer business in the summer (particularly not signing a first choice RB.) and also for his away tactics this year where he was far to negative when we should have been pressing teams high up the pitch.

Best man to take us back up though :ayatollah:

Agree with Bluevanman. Probably up there challenging for most stupid post of the year. Tan has told everyone his vision for the club, some people just do not seem to be able to take it in. We knew it was all about debt reduction, and that the owner wants the club to run within it's means. Love all this lets spend £30m on a player stuff, like every player is desperate to come to Cardiff. Have to laugh at let Tan just sell his shares. Who to? Where are all these people with mega bucks who are desperate to pump money into CCFC? More likely be to some half wealthy American businessman looking to make a quick buck. Buy the club at a knockdown price, sell everything not nailed down, and then sit back and watch the club plummet down the leagues. Apart from the red shirt fiasco, our owner is doing a hell of a lot more than the owners of other clubs. Perhaps we should try and encourage the owners of Swansea, or better still Bolton, to buy Tan's shares. Club fortyfourer won't be interested in season tickets for for the next few decades if we go back to where we were not so long ago.

I haven't seen 1 team selection that's been regarded as universally correct by the forum boot room tbh.
jesus do you realise everyone else in this division has better players than we do and the work that is put in everyweek to pick a team and set it up best suited to nullify their threats while still trying to exploit what might be their weaknesses and get points ourselves in a situation where you don't have the best players. Warnock has been mention umpteen times by various pundits { people that know a decent corner isn't a chip to the penalty spot } as a candidate for manager of the season ffs..its not because he has Man City type resources and can concentrate on just picking a team to win without fear ..

Neil Warnock HAS to stay....
He has made mistakes but his record has been brilliant for us in the Championship .
He has got the best out of our players this season most games...
And not many gave us any hope of staying up ...
We needed luck and got none....
Had some idiots behind me at Fulham...clearly knew nothing about football and moaned the whole game...Those last 10 minutes we created those chances with great skill sadly it just wouldn't go in...That's been..
The story of this season...
The gap between the Championship and Premiership is greater than I expected...

Two more wins and Warnock would be in serious contention for manager of the year. Only on this forum will you hear any real criticism and fans wanting him out. At least it makes for entertaining reading, even if it has no real reflection on what the majority of fans think. Only on this forum will you see fans wanting the owner, the board, the manager and nearly everyone else gone, while regularly predicting us to beat teams like Man C, Liverpool, Arsenal and virtually every other team in the league. Good for a laugh but not to be taken seriously.

mate ,I didn't think we were even close to being top 2 based purely on quality last season. we got up through bonding the players , a never say die ethos and a coaching staff that picked up on strengths and weaknesses with other teams to stop/exploit..we go up, spend next to nothing in prem terms and all of a sudden you have people wanting to now chuck out what just about got us over the line in the championship and set up to go toe to toe with the top 6 ..
some of whats been asked and expected is absolutely bonkers..

love these type posts..
has it crossed your mind that we could have bought Deeney or Rondon and they just not work out...it happens all the time in football
this notion that spend x and your guaranteed staying up is wrong. and has been proved to be wrong more times than there have been episodes of coronation street..

Never believe what people write straight after a game, we all get angry.

If you take the glamour ties and money out of it, i prefer the championship and before you say bollocks this is why.

We have 23 games in the championship (don't do many aways) where we could win, lose or draw

In the premier league there are

6 games we are going to lose but hope not to make it embarrassing
2 games we are going to lose
4 games we may sneak a draw, but will probably lose
7 games we cold win, lose or draw

I really don't care i have seen some of the best players in the world. If i did I would go and watch various teams around the country.

The need to blame anything and everything is a modern phenomenon. The only blame i could lay at the club or Warnock was getting promoted when were obviously not ready.......... And lets face it that's not a crime.

We need work on and off the field, but we are in a good place :bluescarf:
