I’m sure Messi did the same a few years back so they ended up taking Neymar off

Big over reaction IMO, if the sub was being done as a tactical switch then yes it’s shocking, but it was because he went down injured, if he says he’s ok to continue then I think the manager should trust him.

Clough would have punched him in the changing room and Fergie would have met him in a petrol station and told him to join another club. If Clough substituted a player they even walked when there was no player to replace them, as when Steve Hodge was taken off and no player was coming on to replace him. Today the players are like spoiled little brats who can do what they want. They stopped playing for Moreno at Chelski and Man U and the manager gets sacked (whether Moreno was getting results or tactically right is immaterial IMHO as the players weren't giving 100%).

Kepa Arrizabalaga fined by Chelsea for Cup final row with Maurizio Sarri
By Coral Barry

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Maurizio Sarri have spoken out again about their row during the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

Chelsea announced they had taken the decision to fine Kepa a week’s wages for disobeying his manager’s instructions to be substituted in extra-time of the Cup final against Manchester City. Kepa waved away Sarri’s furious protests on the sidelines and went on to represent Chelsea in the penalty shootout, which the Blues lost 4-3.

Sarri reiterated the incident was a misunderstanding, but revealed Kepa now conceded his behaviour was not acceptable.

He said: "Kepa and I have spoken about the incident. It was a good conversation. There was a misunderstanding yesterday but he realises he made a big mistake in the way he reacted. He has apologised to me, his team-mates and the club. It is up to the club if they want to discipline him according to the club rules, but for me this matter is now closed. The team performance as a whole was extremely positive and it is a shame to see how this incident has overshadowed our efforts in what was a very competitive Cup Final. Everyone’s focus is now on the next game and we must all now put this behind us."

Kepa echoed his managaer’s statement, admitting he made a ‘big mistake’ in how he handled the situation.

"I was very happy to play in my first Cup Final for Chelsea yesterday and very proud of the team performance," Kepa said. "I have thought a lot more about yesterday’s events. Although there was a misunderstanding, on reflection, I made a big mistake with how I handled the situation. I wanted to take the time today to apologise fully and in person to the coach, to Willy, my team-mates and to the club. I have done this and now I want to offer the same apology to the fans. I will learn from this episode and will accept any punishment or discipline the club decides is appropriate."

surprised they ended up fining him in the end. just shows the manager's lost the dressing room, if he ever had it in the first place.

their players (or at least a good majority) are a disgrace.
