Re: JACKS day just got a lot worse

As Tosh said on the news tonight,Huw Jenkins took the Swans from the bottom of Division 2 to the Premier League for 7 seasons, a miracle really not done before by any club of their size before! He appointed some great Managers and signed some excellent players to keep them up Year after year! However he made one big mistake by selling out to the Yanks and now has realised this and has resigned and the Jacks are on their way back down the leagues. However how the fans hate him after all their unexpected success is laughable! It just shows that a good owner is a priority and I’m glad we have one as they don’t grow on trees!

in case you didn't know, their ownership has changed. jenkins no longer calls the shots.

it's not hypocritical to claim they were well run, and now aren't.

we shouldn't be closed off to the possibility that we can take pointers from how other clubs are run. we aren't all 5 year olds here.

yes it changed.
suggest you reffer to Huws statement about why they sold. it certainly was not because they had been running the model club.
your correct about us not being 5 year olds ,Roaths agenda based drivel was transparent to anyone with a mental age above that age .

They may have sold a couple of years ago but he's been on a salary of half a million a year to assist in runing the club on behalf of the absentee owners. He surely he cant now claim he's had no influence or was the salary part of a reward for allowing the original stitch up, if indeed thats what occurred.

Given the income thats gone into that club in recent years, its almost beyond belief that things have got so bad so quickly. Why were they needing to barrow against future income when they had an average monthly income of getting on for 10 million ? I thought they were going to stop clubs borrowing against TV income and parachut payments in particular after the Portsmouth fiasco.

How deeply their in the shit we dont really know, but the signs aren't good. If they've borrowed heavily on future income which is now in rapid decline, then the chances of receiving further investments / loans from their existing owners or anywhere looks pretty bleak.

They moved a few high earners off the wage book in the tranfer window but brought in no capital. They're current desperation for instant cash resembles that of a Town Hill junky needing this mornings fix. Is the till at the liberty that empty ? could we see difficulty in meeting their wage or tax obligations in the coming months. ? Is administration round the corner ? The next 6 months is critical for them but baring a miracle promotion the very best they can hope for is that it doesn't get any worse.

a big ooh ahh has been made of his salary but truth is 500k for director of football for a premier league club { which they were } was low. and yes im sure you can find yourself being constantly over ruled and seemingly without influence its why people resign.?
people get carried away by the enormous amounts of money in this league without seeing the out goings..eg Sala, 15 mill transfer, reported 30 mil total cost..
anyway I am happy Tan is here.
