[quote="nubbsy"]Looks the part. Strong, can hold it up, carry it. First touch let him down once or twice but hopefully that will improve with match sharpness.

Him and Reid and forming a decent partnership.[/quote

On the Everton forum they said his first touch is poor for a premier league footballer but he to some extent makes up for it with a totally committed attitude and work rate plus his finishing is surprisingly good for a player with a poor first touch. His partnership with Reid is looking promising. To be fair to Zohore and Patterson they were often the sole forward paticularly away from home and it's easier to play up front with someone else hence both Niasse and Reid looked good.

Thought he looked pretty class when he was at Hull a few years ago, very bizarre Everton spent all that money on him so he must have been scouted well yet didn't give him a realistic chance for 2 years. When they did finally give him a chance he looked good and scored some goals for them.

IMO the way Everton treated him was appalling and the way Ronald Koeman treated him was a complete disgrace,

Stick him in a team where the manager is prepared to give him a chance and he'll work his socks off, he got 4 goals in 17 for Hull, i can see him getting at least 5 for us and a few assists too.

What is a real shame is that if we could have had him from the start of the season I'm sure we'd be a few places higher up the table at the moment.

The inability to sign a striker such as Niasse over the summer was a major contribution to many of our struggles this season, even with the best efforts of Paterson.

Glad that's been put right now and hopefully there's enough time for him to make a telling contribution.
