I only wish the season was over, just not feeling football at the moment. Heartbreaking situation, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Warnock does step down. He needs get away, it’s written all over his face, and I can completely understand.

Then so be it.

Completely agree Wayne, there are far more important things in life than promotion or relegation for our football team.

I have no appetite to go to a game at the moment, but will attend on Saturday.

Expecting Warnock and the players to 'snap out of it' shows a complete lack of compassion, i'm sure all will do as best as they can tomorrow evening, we can expect no more.

club should get Warnock and his family away for a few weeks, he needs a complete break.

Or alternatively, does he need to get back into the football side of things and see how it goes? :?

Neil Warnock and his family will know how they feel and (from recent experience) some things are best left to them to conclude

Agree with arri potter and Wayne S that football and our status is currently secondary in importance

In the meantime, the club itself will be keeping a watchful eye and helping 'protect' him (and others) as best they can by providing space, support and understanding...just like any other functional family :thumbright:
This is OUR club, not Vincent Tan’s! He is a temporary custodian and will be judged on the state he leaves us in when he leaves!

Have to say 100% correct Sven, we maybe need to show him some extra love, from the stands, show him he is family to us,but it's plain to see,he is feeling it bad :sad7:

You never know with Neil, if he feels like he can’t get motivated tomorrow, he may decide to stand down anyway. Such a shocking event, you can see it’s affected him deeply.

We all lose someone close to us at some time or another. As tragic as this has been, I had not even heard of Emilio Sala, never mind having actually seen him until a few weeks back. I do not wish to sound heartless, but I still have an appetite for the game, and will carry on as before. I feel desperately sorry for the families involved, as I do every time I hear of tragedies such as this. Unfortunately, I know from personal experience exactly how his parents will be feeling, and it will be something that they will have on their minds every single day for many years to come, and the pain will never completely go away.

From a personal point of view, I have experienced tragic events far closer to me than this, and life goes on regardless. This accident will live in the minds of fans for quite some time, but I guarantee it will soon fade into the background apart from anniversaries when it will rightly be remembered by all of us. As I say, I do not wish to sound disrespectful at all, but I did not know nor have ever seen this young man, and while I will pay my respects along with everyone else, my life will continue pretty much as normal now the initial shock has gone.

Agreed, some people like to wallow in grief. You'd think it was a father or mother that had died with some on here. Completely disrespectful to the actual family.

I disagree with you in that respect,as grief is usually associated with death mostly, and so far, although looking more desperate as each day passes, it's not actually grief some of us feel,it's the not knowing that bears more weight on some humans than others,I too have experienced grief, most recent being my dad, this for me anyway, feels different,no good knocking people because they feel different to you or I  :bluebird:

It’s the way life is now sadly. Race to be most offended, race to be most upset.

Thankfully it’s been rained in a bit but you are right it was getting silly on here and actually disrespectful. We were being like those that camped out for days for Diana who probably wouldn’t travel half hour to see their own families graves.

Sorry to hear about your Dad mate. It sounds harsh but this is the modern day for you, in my eyes. People have been on here saying they've been crying all week, like losing a son, that's ridiculous I'm sorry. The family have shown great strength and not given up, we need to do the same.

I feel much the same as you. All very sad, but I would guess most people on this forum knew Emilio Sala as well as I did, ie.not at all. I have seen a couple of photographs, a few minutes on you tube, and that is as close as I have ever been to him. I feel sorry for the player, the pilot and their families. I also feel sorry in the same way for the small child who was recovered from a well recently, and those workers who were buried in a mud slide. However, I did not know any of them, and their deaths will not have any devastating effect on me or keep me awake at night. I have lost close family and close friends, and I am sure I will lose more before too long. As harsh as it may sound, life goes on, and while reading about the deaths of people who I do not know in the slightest is upsetting, it certainly has no lasting effect on me.

This really needed to be said, and well done for having the courage to say it.
The loss of this poor young man has touched us more than it would have done without the connection to our Club, but there's a real danger of it getting out of hand and there's a thin line between genuine sympathy and Dianna Syndrome virtue signalling.
