Re: Millwall v Everton big trouble

Millwall could be looking at this as revenge for when 3 of their fans where knifed near goodison park.

Hooliganism these days is downright pathetic let along carrying a blade too it.

I would agree if he hadn’t got slashed, if you go looking and get it then that’s your own fault. But blades!!! That’s what the cowards on the continent do. Shocking.

London is a cesspit of major crime, stabbings left right and centre, innocents and bystanders getting caught in it. Few get to court !

Everton come down looking for it, find it and one of those in the front line gets slashed....... No sympathy.

Al this bollocks about weapons, since when has there been queensberry rules for hooligans, what do you want them to do, weigh in 24 hours before the bout ? Its never been fair, more numbers on one side, kids vs men, Casuals vs scarfers.

As for slagging off the coppers. For a starting salary of £24K, fcuk if i would be getting in between those lot, let them scrap it out, no innocent bystanders were getting caught up in it, you want it, have it.

I see the victim is a scouser, so he'll no doubt be betrayed as a choir boy victim on his first trip outside Liverpool

Everton were well known for using knives in the 80s. They had a mob who called themselves the country road cutters, that would wait until after the game in a midweek fixture, corner some unsuspecting away fans and slash them. They used to say half past nine is slashing time.

Unfortunately if your into that kind of thing there is a serious chance of getting hurt. Whether it be via a brick, a bottle or a knife.

I know hooligans like to think there is this badge of honour and it’s awlays an even numbered fist fight between likeminded lads, but it’s not the case. Many vile horrible scum bags are attracted to this scene.

Many don't realise it was Everton who came to Millwall with total intent and organised.

If you watch the video carefully, you will see that the "victim" is slashing out himself. When he gets caught, a small object flies out of the hand he was slashing out with.

What kind of idiot wants to do this to someone else over a nothing, two bob silly little bit of handbags? 2 yards from the OB as well.

This is typical football nonsense. A lot of pushing the bloke in front of you by the shoulders, snidey swipes and swings whilst the other bloke is throwing a punch at someone else and twice as many standing watching as there are doing anything. Why is this shit gloryfied so much?

The only positive is that Millwall are incrdibly up their own arses and this will hurt them. The truth is, Newport County or anyone could have done the same. It takes no kind of courage as some are claiming. It is 2019. Even in the much hyped 80s, teams were turning up at Millwall for a pose. You have to go back to the early to mid 70s when police presence (let alone police escorts) were virtually non existent.

Or possibly - and this is a bit unorthodox I know - you could just not go round hitting or stabbing people at all.

Another Everton fan slashed

About 100 Everton fans went in to the Council Estates after the game attacking Millwall fans and locals, which ended up with another Everton fan slashed by a knife.

Agreed sums it up perfectly, if you go looking for trouble in Millwall, you will find it.

I think the people carrying blades are scum. But you can’t label them all scum, just remember which football team we all support, CCFC, and Cardiff certainly were one of the most active exporters of football violence in the 70s/80s/90s and right up to Chelsea away in the cup in 2010. :bluebird:

I remember seeing Cardiff fans with blades in the late 80’s, pretty sad really, but we know we had them.
Really didn’t know Everton were that way inclined? As for knives in London, seems like the youth of today like to be known as cowardice scum....

Suggest you watch the footage before spreading that rumour.

The millwall fan can be seen on the road checking his back pocket for his blade before everton even come into shot.

He's then seen blade in hand jumping the wall to join in and slash at whoever he found to be in front of him.
