Everyone do the 'Leo', every one do the 'Leo'

All jumping up and with each hand an a finger pointing into the air - I thinks that right. It's what LFW did at every corner. lol. Great guy he turned up at I think it was Sheff U away last season - had a pic taken with him. Loved the fact all City recognised him. Never forget that hattrick at York 3-3 and promotion :)

He gets the ball and he wanna score a goal
Not 1 not 2 not 3 not 4
He get's the ball and he wanna score more.

Ooh ahh Stantona, say ooh aah Stantona

Earnie's gonna get you, Earnie's gonna get you......

"Stanley, Stanley where's your wife?" chant at Stan Bowles when he was caught with another woman. I remember he just shrugged when we sang this.

"Warnocks a w@nker" chanted at Neil wen he was at QPR

I was right behind the goals when that went in. Looked to be even more of a curve on it than shows up on TV. Remember that match well, 3-1 up and cruising only to throw it away. unfortunate mistake by our keeper (think it may have been Frank Parsons)for at least one of the goals.

I agree Dahboy - for being simply spectacular that was the best goal I've ever seen at Ninian Park in the last 44 years I've supported the city. On the day I was dead in line with the trajectory of the shot on the old bob bank. The Boro defender hooked a clearance straight up which dropped towards the corner of the 18 yard box Bob Bank corner down the Grange End goal. Peter King ran in and volleyed it before it hit the ground and the ball flew into the far top right corner of the net. I will never forget the look on the Boro goalie's face (Willie Whigham) as it flashed past him. Sadly we lost 4-3 thanks to another name from the past - butterfingers Frank Parsons the City goalie that day!!

Yep, and unfortunately for quite a while before that as well. That's why the bones are starting to get a little stiff I guess. Peter King was one of my favourite players, and was playing at the same time as Toshack, Clarke, Ronnie Bird etc. Probably part of my favourite all time Cardiff line up.

Aye Steve - I remember that team well too and I remember my first ever Cardiff match at Ninian Park as if it were yesterday - 18th October 1969 (I was 15 and we travelled down from the Valleys on Evans' Coaches) - we lost 1-0 to Norwich. Don Murray our captain and CH pulled off a cracking one handed save on the goal line, diving up towards the top left hand corner of the Grange End goal to push the ball away after our keeper Fred Davies had been "rounded" further out and Murray had little option and gave away the penalty but I was hooked and have actively supported the City ever since!!

I always had 2 dreams about football that I hoped to see in my adult life - Wales to qualify for the finals of a major tournament and my beloved Cardiff City to play in the top league of English soccer -there have been loads of disappointments along the way but I finally made it on both counts!!

Great memories Blemmy. I had the same dreams as you, especially seeing City in the top flight. Never expected it in my lifetime, but got there eventually. The downside for me is the greed around in football today, particularly the PL. I remember talking and later having the odd pint with some of the City players. Would'nt happen now, they are treated like untouchable demi-gods. Tough cheese I suppose, it is what it is and I intend enjoying our stay at the top table, however long it lasts for.
