Got to ignore brain dead threads like this. He'll be asking for ex man utd players as managers next.
You can't put a price on team unity!! On and off the field.

I'm not even going to read anymore than the heading, if you think that was disgraceful I have no idea how you would have coped watching a lot of the games I've seen over the years

I think the heading was a bit OTT, and unfair on the players who from what I have heard gave 100% effort, even if they were lacking a bit in quality. A hard fought first away point for us in the PL is no disgrace in my eyes.

On another day Morrison's header would fly in, Bobby Reid's effort would go in as well, thank God not all fans have the same negativity as Dream Teams and appreciate what we are trying to do. It is very early days and 2 points from 3 games, two of them away from home, that's OK. Huddesfield have a good home record, look at some of their home results last season, some people think because Huddesfield are likely to be near the bottom with us we should be beating them on their own patch. Get a grip.

The explanation is they sacked their manager.

I have been watching City for years and this is nothing new. We go through periods where it seems we have lost the knack of scoring.

Eventually it will correct itself and we will go on a run. Moaning really doesn't help but patience does. :D

Reality check - another good performance away from home in a game we were unlucky not to win. We will survive this season :bluebird:

Plus 2 players who are known goal scorers
Wilfried Zaha

Christian Benteke

The heading was designed to shock and yes some valid points made against it
I really hope they are right and not me but i still think we lack a goal scorer of any quality

We also could get some one in in january i realise that too
The boys did give it all and i have never said they did not. Historically Neil has proved he failed in premier league and i would like to see that change more than anyone.
I just think either he missed opportunities to get a quality up front player, or his hand were tied by tan with money to do so.

premier league you need someone solid in front of goal.
For all the hard work the guys in mid field and the back did, we looked weak up front

Could one goal change that? Yes i think it may, more so i hope one goal leads to confidence and takes us forward.

Neil is a fantastic Championship manager but does he have the flair and management to keep a side in premiership?
I don't think so and the reason seems to come down to money. I think the guy could pick the right front man if he was allowed to. Without him being given the chance we can never prove that one way or other. Historically for what ever reason he fails and i fear he will again.

You may disagree with how i see this side right now, i see us as a good Championship side. Nothing more.
In premiership we look like a very weak side and the pundits agree.

My two worries are lack of goals and discipline.

No more on this, i will wait 3 more games and come back here. If we score and win 1 of those games i will apologise on here.
Right now i am worried for reasons i given above and having followed for more years than i care to remember, thru good and bad times, i am a little annoyed with the hard cash i spent on season tickets that we get an opportunity and waste it.

Its so hard to get out of Championship these days, lets not fall back into that mix after one season. I want Tan, neil and the players to do all they can to keep us in the mix. Not let this opportunity to slip by just so VT gets his money back.

See you all here after next few games and i hope its so i can apologise.

So Dreamteam you will wait until after our results against Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea before deciding you were right? Talk about loading the dice

Where we are next May is the important thing and even if we do go down we do so with a dam good Championship squad excellent finances and the world's best manager in that division.

Finally it doesn't take Einstein or Alex Ferguson to work out we could have done with signing a proven PL goal scorer, we all know that. The fact is we couldn't afford one but the trick is to use all our other attributes to get the points required to stay up.

Our job is to get behind the team rather moan about the dead raving obvious :banghead:

Very true it doesn't take Einstein to say we may not get a point next 3 games or a proven scorer in premiership! Nw had the money to buy ex amount of players he chose not to buy a proven premiership forward thats not tans fault as for op how can say it's a disgraceful performance then say it's just to highlight something everyone already knows? Ok is full of contradictions :old:

It was a decent rugged performance, a good learning curve for our players, and yes we could have walked away with three points but away from home it’s a good point earned. Where now sitting 15, so a great start to the season.

On to Arsenal at home, make no mistake we can beat these, I’m going 2-1 City :ayatollah:

Someone says what they feel and if people don t agree as it doesn t fit with their opinion..what do they do
call them a fool...say they need a reality check... they are a clown...tell them to go and support someone else....to give a rant like dreamteam did means he is passionate about city and he s airing his concerns..

You tell him he is negative is it negativity or reality who is to say...disagree with him by all means but leave the insults out..its his opinions

Dreamteam wrote:Do we have one player who could even hit a barn door?

Neil Warnock is a good Championship manager but useless in the Premiership.
Starting with signings, Teams that stay up always get a front man, someone that gets a chance and puts it away.

We have a team that do well in the mid field but upfront we are like a rabbit in the headlights.

I watched todays game, Huddersfield - what i would call another must WIN game. They go down to 10 men and again we can not capitalise on it. Just like against Newcastle, we picked up possession, created more chances but without a front man we never looked like scoring.
These are the easier games and we look like a joke.
Now we can see why Neil Warnock is a Championship manager, he does not have the creative mind to pick a good frontman.

We did not need to spend millions, just buy someone who is good to feed too up front, Some good Welsh youngsters are better than what i saw today.
I can not see us getting 16 points this season, i even worry about us getting the lowest ever points 11 or below - oh dear  :banghead:

I went with me son, it was middle championship football at best and looked like two teams doomed, we need strikers and more than just heart, its a long season ahead,we must not get on their backs, just enjoy the season and except we are not good enough.

It was a typical NW team performance, solid, direct, in your face 100% effort football that’ll keep us in the PL, you know what to expect, we played it last season. A good point earned.

We are good enough, you just need to be more positive. It is what it is, just enjoy :ayatollah:

Re: Disgraceful performance

I think dreamteam is spot on with his analysis ...Three games without a goal and lack of creativity and chances is a huge concern
The real negativity comes from fans who would settle for 17th place at the end of the season and are happy with a clean sheet against a team who were down to 10 men. ..We need to adopt a killer instinct if we are genuinely going to survive instead of a complacent happy go lucky approach ...And just because you criticise your team doesn't mean you are less of a supporter coming from a fan who has followed city since the great days of Alston and Evans

Some of our fans are right numpties... not sure what they expect.. we are doing so good as a club as a while.
1 loss and 2 draws. I went to Huddersfield, first half we were not in game, but second half we were so much better,
Team giving 100%⛈that's all as fans we can ask for.

Two clean sheets and performances which indicated that we are as good as both Newcastle and Huddersfield; how can any real supporter be unhappy with that? Probably would have also got something from the Bournemouth game if Arter and Camarasa had played.
No goals but a number of clear chances to win the game against Huddersfield. Jesus we've got some numpties who claim to be supporters!
