Does'nt seem that long ago that we never had a pot to p**s in, and were looking like a badly run amateur club playing in front of a couple of thousand fans with the Championship nothing more than a distant dream for us. Now we have an owner who has pumped millions of pounds into the club with the promise that one day we will be debt free, a manager who the majority of fans were begging to be appointed a couple of years ago, and a bunch of players who have just achieved the dream of most of us, Premier League football. In my 50 odd years of following this club, this is the best that it has ever been by a long way. We had some great times under Jimmy Scoular, but we never got beyond the old division 2 or the Championship as it is now. I find it hard to understand how some fans are still unhappy, especially asa we have not even played a competitive match yet.

I suppose that could be the reason behind some of the posts. Perhaps a lot of these fans do not remember the bad old days. Maybe a lot have only been following the club during the Championship seasons and for our good cup runs. I suppose there are a percentage of fans who have only really known relative success. For the first few years that I followed us everything looked good. Regular European football, a serious challenge for top flight football, and the guarantee of a Welsh Cup win every season. Unfortunately, those of us who were around back then experienced first hand what happens when a club is badly run, and not long after it was touch and go whether we would be relegated right out of league football.

Sensible comments as always, Steve Zodiak

This is here and this is now. Don’t see why missing a leg after the war has anything to do with anything. Other than sentiment. And sentiment won’t do anything about our midfield. Sadly.

Well I suppose if your leg is missing because you made a mistake, you don't want to lose your other leg by making the same mistake again. Agree though that we are still lacking in the middle of the park. Still a few days left for Mr Warnock to try and strengthen us in that area. All we can do is hope for the best.

We all recognise that the midfield needs strengthening, and no doubt Neil Warnock who knows a bit more about these things than we we ever will sees the same, if we don't get them in by deadline day he will scour the loan market. It is a long season and anything can happen.

We shouldn't be here anyway!
Let's just enjoy the crack

Why in God's name do you say we shouldn't be in the Premier League? Of course we do and we need to stay there, some misguided individuals say we should become a yo yo club, how ridiculous,we are the Premier League football club of Wales let's start acting like it
