Maybe those who seem happy 'just to be there' are subconsciously more excited about seeing the opposition as I can't for the life of me understand the 'just enjoy the ride' philosophy. Whats to enjoy if your losing every week other than watching the 'superstars' of all the other Clubs.

We need to be competitive and to be competitive you need to invest in the playing squad, that's all people are saying.

Re the above I am going to enjoy being in the Premier League because I was watching the City in the 80's, 90's in front of 3,000 fans when this was a pipe dream, it has nothing to do with watching the opposition. Can anyone tell me a time when Cardiff City has ever been in a better position both on and off the pitch because I cant think of any.

I think Neil Warnock knows a thing or two about being competitive, a damn sight more than me or anyone else on this sight. He knows what he is doing.

Bit weird if you’d rather watch league 2 football.

An we aren’t going to get ‘smashed’ week in week out.

We will get beaten by the big teams but not smashed every week. We can be competitive against the other teams.

Get a grip you moaning fucker we are in for a tough season just like the other sides down the bottom of the table.

And you? are you happy with what we got,you wrote get real to me so let's get real,in your opinion have we got enough quality in midfield? have we got enough quality in depth in strikers? and last but not least have you got enough confidence in Warnocks ability to keep us in the Premiership? over to you

I give up, you are missing the whole point, please read my post again and think about it, I am saying that what he is putting out there is that he will not be held to ransom by agents or players, so if they try and blackmail us into signing players, with inflated fees, It is not going to happen. Do you now see the point? Yes I have every confidence in him keeping us up.

Totally agree with you Igovernor. We could chase the dragon getting in these 'quality' signings and still go down and see the parachute payments and Premier dividend go up the noses of greedy agents. We have to be sensible which might mean taking a longer view on things and being a yo-yo club for a while.

I would much prefer that than being reckless like last time.

Never. Small debt to our owner, huge ground, proper colours, unified fan base, great manager, leaders on the pitch, plenty of young talent, Bellamy working with the youth, the red line gone.

Not sure what credentials have to do with it, makes you look like you are trying to make out your a better fan. I have seen us play in every League from 3 to the Premiership as well, I have seen every high and low of the last 26 years following us home and away week in week out to shit holes like Darlington and Scarborough, I have gone to Wrexham to watch us play in FAW Premier Mickey Mouse Cup, and what?

When Cardiff City have a bad season I have a bad season, when Cardiff City loose, I loose. I have never EVER enjoyed a season when the Team has done badly and I don't think I ever will, irrespective of whether we are in Division 3 or the Premier League. If you are able to enjoy the Premier League come what may, good for you, I cant.

I won't walk out of that stadium with a smile on my face IF we loose any game, against ANY team, if Man City beat us 5-0 I will be gutted, like I would if Watford beat us 5-0. I won't be skipping out of the CCS 'enjoying the ride'.

That's not to say I have expectations above our station, 4th from bottom, survive on the last day on a one goal difference I'd snap your hand off now. I will be in Bournemouth on the first day of the season and I will be supporting Neil Warnock and the Team from kick off till the final whistle.

That does not mean I am not allowed to raise concern about the fact I don't think our Squad is in the slightest bit competitive enough to survive.

I think there is only one wet wipe here with your analysis of how the season will go. Man up and let's see where it takes us as I am sure things will happen this week on the transfer front.

The manager will get City to stay up I'm sure and I for one have 100% faith in this squad as team spirit will go a long way this season.

I will be gutted if we lose also, it is not a case of enjoying the ride, it is a case of remembering how far Cardiff have come as a football club, and looking at the bigger picture, we are now set up financially for a few years which surely can only be good news.

When I was a kid I dreamt about Cardiff being in the top division, and now we are, the last time under Malky we threw silly money on players and look where that got us.

I cant believe some people think we will not be competitive, and hope that if things start badly people do not get on the players and managers back, there will be about 10 teams in a similar position to ours.

It will be tough for sure. I hope the fans stick behind the players, and encourage anyone who may be finding things difficult rather than giving them a slating from the sidelines. The players will need all the support they can get, and I think we can expect them all to give 100% to us and Warnock. Can't ask for more, and I hope everyone sticks together through the bad times as well as the good ones. We will lose more than we win, but there will be others who will be in a similar boat. With a little luck and a lot of encouragement from the fans, we can finish above the relegation zone.

you never been so depressed that we got to the premier league?? honestly?    obviously you didnt have a season ticket when kenny hibbit was in charge  , relax and enjoy, and btw, tan has pumped a fortune into the club maybe he wants a couple of years break from giving away millions of pounds keeping us afloat, yeh i know, if you was a billionaire you would buy us messi and mbappi

You honestly believe that we will be in the Premiership next season or doesn't it matter to you

To be honest it doesnt really matter to me if we are in the premier or the championship as long as i got a club to support, in a lot of ways i prefer the championship, more games cheaper tickets ect but thats another debate, my point was getting depressed cos we arent spending huge amounts of money or cos warnock is leaving things a bit late to bring a couple of players in is a bit daft, and the hate towards warnock from a few on this board, the man who took an average team.to second in the championship to get us where we are, is starting to annoy me, as i said relax and enjoy we could go out and spend another 50million and still go down, everyone can see we need a couple of players hopefully we get them if we dont, as dave jones used to say, we go with what we got

Exactly this mate, I have also noticed most (not all) of the Warnock bashers and negative posters are not suprisingly new to the forum and without a doubt only here for the Premiership.

Personally I have no interest in either there opinions or negative posts

The bed wetters comment was for the fans who can't see what is happening so if you think it applied to you, then it did.

This season will be hard but I along with most will enjoy it regardless of if the worst happens, which by the way I don't think will.

went to Sheffield United on a Tuesday night amonst others {this one sticks out because you could never call them a glamour club }..i really dont think many who travelled thought us in with much of a chance yet went anyway..was it subconsciously to see the opposition..?.well for me it was and it wasnt..yes i wanted to see us compete with better opposition but a key ingredient was US {im sure it was the case for most, yourself included.?}...like yourself i dont enjoy losing but i want to be there incase we dont lose..
and thats sort of how i view this coming season...ive seen us be un competitive in all four divisions it really was all part of the ride and if that were to happen this year so be it ..being in the top flight even for 1 year is an achievement, an achievement i didnt think would happen again for me..i am already proud no matter what happens

I think it all boils down to respect or lack of. Some people will always want the last word and if this means using foul language or snide remarks to reinforce their argument then so be it.

As difficult as it can be for some, just "walk away" and let them spout their venom elsewhere.

A good debate with alternative viewpoints should be encouraged so why let a few sour it for the rest. They'll soon get fed up if no-one takes the bait.

Why don't you 'f**k off' and just respect peoples opinions for what they are

Some people don't just want to be in the 'Premier League', I would rather see us be competitive in League 2 than get smashed off the park week in week out in the EPL.

Very well said mate. My thoughts exactly. The opposition thing I hadn't thought of though. Very interesting theory that RV.

Good points there too.

Oh look another keyboard warrior talking shit.

I don't think I have ever started a thread on this site about our attendances or season ticket prices, not one. I might have contributed my opinion to the odd thread, but 'moaning about it for months' absolute bollocks.

In regards to yourself, only 5 days ago you were moaning that Warnock hasn't brought in another center half and that we are going to get shown up at the back and have been proper negative about whether Bamba and Manga could step up and have in the past few weeks also said you are dissapointed with what we have spent in this window.

My posts my seem like 'moaning' to some but at least I'm consistent, you on the other hand have more faces than big ben.

These arguments will never be resolved when you have fans who have a totally different expectations from following a team.

You are obviously in it for the success and that alone. Others see it as a calling and something that is meant to elate and frustrate at the same time.

Your following the wrong club if it's all about the spend and the success.

Many years in the doldrums of the 80's and 90's gives you a feel for what we have now achieved.

good post mate..

I haven’t changed my opinion on our defence or attack, and that we will go straight back down. Maybe if you could remember what you have said then you wouldn’t look such an idiot. League 2  Bewty
