Liverpool wanted him to sign an extension to his contract before he went on loan he said i have 3 years left on my contract so i do not need to sign an extension, do not be surprised if we sign him on the last day, when he signs the extension that klopp wants him to sign then
signs for us!

Not fair to bash fans who are genuinely worried by our lack of transfer activity. There’s no point in getting promoted if you aren’t going to try to stay up, I’m not saying we need to spend silly money like last time but a couple of established premier league quality players shouldn’t be too much to ask when you look at the money Tan will be pocketing from this season. All of this last minute dealing will end up costing us more than if we secured them early.

Hardly bed wetters when midfield is a desperate position
I means we either help play the ball or not and help defend or not.

Ball distribution is pretty important this time around and we need a solid centre of midfield it's a fact.

We can have the potentially great wingers and forwards but the ball has to be won and given to one of them.

One week to go and we go into 4 games of potentially the possible bottom 4 teams if we can't generate points from those games by November we are fucked !

Centre should have been wrapped up weeks ago grujic or not we should have had another in training

Lol, don’t be so precious. Bashing people ffs
If we’d made 10 signings, the very same people would want another 2.
Do you think we’re not actively looking? Whilst we all like info, I think it’s great that our transfer activity is all conducted under the radar these days.
Premier League clubs haven’t announced their 25 man squads as yet, still time for incomings - and outgoings.

Ideally, transfer dealings are wrapped up early. Trouble is, as with the Grujic situation, the players and their agents have all the power & will wait until the last moments to pick & chose what’s best for them.

Let’s see what the next week brings eh?

Thats the best we have been for years . with what weve spent plus increased wages weve done what we got for going up . what ever happens its not tans fault . hes doing exactly what is needed reducing our debt and giving us a fighting chance of staying up . Get in the real world ffs

Agree completely ,well said :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Same here Grujic would have been an OK signing but far from a guarantee of avoiding relegation. This year is going to be an uphill struggle no matter who we bring in. NW will have a plan even if that involves Jazz Richards playing in midfield or Tomlin coming back into the fold.

I think this ajbr fella has to be a wind up to say Tan will be pocketing money this season.

People bashing Warnock like he's a new manager with no experience and he has to idea how the transfer market works...ffs he's been around the block countless times thus won't be the first time it's happened and no way will he not be prepared.

Don’t rate him so much, bit hot headed which will be magnified more this season. It’s bad enough as it is without the worry of a man down too. No way he is worth 20 million, what did Liverpool buy him for? Be good to have him mind but not at all costs.. :bluescarf:

I think this might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Grujic didn't exactly stand out as a top class player in the Championship, I don't understand why Warnock was working so hard to bring him back. Hopefully this means we can bring in better players this week. I am kind of glad we didn't resign him if I am honest.

I am in the real world. In case you hadn’t realised, promotion is worth at least £100m to the club for just one season, never mind parachute payments, so I don’t think its too much to ask for the club to invest another 10-15m on a couple of players e.g. Arslan/ N’Diaye to boost our chances of staying up. I think you need more ambition and I’m not here to criticise Tan, I’m more than grateful that he kept the club afloat, he didn’t need to stick around after some of the sh*t he put up with from Malky/ some of the fans. But, he wasn’t entirely blameless for our financial mess either, he ultimately signed off on the spending spree in 13/14 and thankfully he has learned his lesson and is surrounding himself with capable people, but it shouldn’t mean sacrificing ambition in favour of mediocrity. We want to at least feel like we have a chance of staying up and hopefully they can pull a couple of rabits out of the hat in the next couple of days. And anything is possible so I’m not writing our survival chances off just yet.

As for the money he’s written off, it was a fantastic gesture but it did have to be done in order to pass FFP, and I’ve no doubt he will use this promotion to reimburse some of his investment which he has every right to and I won’t hold against him. I just hope that if we go down, Tan will stick around and provide the resources for another promotion charge.
