I also believe in the 12th man. Im still shocked at the minor miracle Mr Warnock achieved to get us here. If we start losing and certain "fans" leave then good riddance to them I say

Really looking forward to this season.
Don’t like the Prem if I’m honest - but the disconnect between the club & fans last time really put the tin hat on it for me. It’s so different now, nothing like previously.
It’ll be tough obviously. Do I expect to win most games, no. But one things for sure, the side will battle for every point - and I take pleasure from that.
As for the negativity - whatever floats your boat. You’ll soon start missing games (if you actually go in the first place) - and I’d be happy if you stayed well away anyway, we’re better off without you.

Where abouts in Manchester? Do you travel down for games? I'm just south of the City.

100% agree with it all. 12th man, fortress & hostile atmosphere etc etc.
That's what we used to be known for. We can achieve great things together manager players & fans.
Stoke were the template under Pulis, No one fancied going there and they turned over lots of teams as a result.
It's no surprise they got relegated when they moved away from a successful formula.
Think the Ninian stand has a big part to play this season.

if we perform the minor miracle and stay up then no one would be more pleased than me.
It seems we are hoping to do a Burnley which is fine as far as it goes. I'd hopefully stay up or if we go back down then bounce back. Bouncing back is, however, very very hard.
Personally I think it's vital we stay up AND then work to become a "bigger" club. What I mean by that is that we have a longer term plan also. Otherwise it will be a continual battle against relegation before eventually returning (sooner or later) to the Championship.
(I love football but it's gone money and with players and agents with too much money and power).
Anyway as you all day let's enjoy the ride this season.

I know it might sound crass but I believe in this 12th man shit. I believe if we get right behind our team, and make them believe we are behind them whatever.....good things will happen.
When things are going south we shout and sing loud........if they go more south we sing louder. We just might make the difference.
Hold your nerve and support the boys, they're doing it for us as much as for themselves.

Good post
Remember last time we were right behind Malky, and the backing he had at Liverpool away, if he deserved that then Warnock deserves full support, he has done it with a proportionately lower budget and after taking over a certain relegation team in disarray.
This season we are unified and totally behind Warnock, there is always the odd negative prick, but hopefully, the vast majority will ignore them and drown them out!
Warnock and the team deserve our support and have earned our respect, we are in this battle together and should stand by them to the end !!!

As 60% of this years crowd dont normally support the club lets hope they dont get on to the players when we start losing game after game against the top sides.
Its time we all got behind the team and lets see how far we can get, we are in BLUE we are back in the Premier league the new boys on the block everyones favourites to go back down lets give it a go and see what happens.
I have been a BLUEBIRD since early 60s seen many ups more downs than i want to remember but still in love with my team.
The last 10 years have been the best years TWICE promoted to the Premier. SO COME ON YOU BLUEBIRDS

Listen, last time we were dong pretty well until off the field stuff intervened.
I'm not going into that because it's not helpful at this point. Suffice it to say that we went from a realistic management and playing policy into a very unrealistic one which could only have one result and it did.
Let's forget that though. At this point we have a team of good professional football players and a very competent manager who will not attempt to over reach. Of course there's a big adjustment to make and ,once again, I'm certain that Sir Neil and the boys know that and they'll be prepared to make it one game at a time.
We know that the self appointed press experts think differently , but as I've commented before their colleagues in the political area were quite certain that Donald Trump could not be elected and we couldn't win the Brexit vote - well I had a few bob on each of those events and came out considerably on top for the simple reason that I think I'm more connected with reality and more objective than these people generally are. I make dispassionate judgements based upon logic rather than insisting that what I WANT to happen will happen or trying to compare what someone did in a different situation to that which they are now facing.
The Cardiff City team isn't the same one which started the championship last year and they won't be playing the same game as they did there. There are subtle but important changes of staff and approach and I'm sure they know they can't take teams by storm in this league as they did in the championship so I think you can anticipate a different approach .
They'll play to their strengths such as set pieces , a strong defensive shape and ,( you may not have noticed this) progressing the ball up the field very very FAST especially on the counter attack. If you check you'll see that they consistently did this nearly twice as fast as their nearest competitor, ( someone called Wolves, although I can't remember much about them).
Notice another small matter, though an unfashionable one. They possess an 'Air Force" at both ends of the field and most premiership teams simply don't really do that theses days, so watch this area of play. Won't be pretty, but I'm not sure at all how Carlos Fandango will cope with four big men charging onto high crosses rather than doing circus tricks with the ball and imitating Pele.
One more thing, we have two new alternatives who can hit long shots which dip all over the place at unexpected angles when the goalkeeper is unsighted, and given the odd deflection you simply cannot defend against that.
Anyway, in short, you can expect them to settle in gradually and soundly and, whilst they won't win the league or anything they will achieve a mid table position and consolidate that. In each game they will face eleven human football players , that's all, and once we forget the bloody nonsense brought to us by the same pundits who told us about Troy Deeney and expected Aston Vanilla to run away with the championship last year, we can see that over the season they are perfectly capable of doing that properly.
I don't ever bet on Cardiff City because it's too personally important to me and it'd spoil my enjoyment of the games , but if I did I would certainly have £500 on them staying up.
I commend you to watch and consider what actually happens rather than letting any silly bugger scare you about what they say is going to happen. I also agree with the sentiment of the original poster here. Let's be positive and determined gentlemen, do your job ,which is to provide this vital positive energy and drive from the terraces, and be confident that the manager and players will do theirs.

You make a good point although I think the support Malky got was more to do with the hatred of the Red and Tan at the time than the results on the pitch and lets not forget Malky never had an issue with the Red either.
If you look at it objectively Malkys sacking was fair, we had only won 2 in the last 16 games and had just been smashed off the park at home against Southampton and he was showing signs of real negativity as a manager most notably at Stoke Away.

You can call me what you want. How any supporter is not pissed with how preparation have been going is beyond me.. Teams will walk right through us. No striker. No midfield. And our defense are not up to premier tempo without a stronger midfield..

Fear not Carlos, he'd never get anywhere near to the front line........probably pull the "flat feet" card! It's Roathy trying to derail a positive thread, but we are not going to sink into his/hers/it's pit of misery.
Let's just enjoy the season, get behind the boys, make some noise and see where it takes us.

Good post Annie I agree with you we have had too many negatives around not signing this player or that. We are in the premiership lets get behind the boys and enjoy this ride.
