Premier fees and wages are what they are and there's not much can be done about it. Even if he spends around £50m we will be feeding off scraps and he'll still have around £150m to pocket.

I hope all this talk by Warnock is bluster to put the vultures off and not some wild fantasy of Roy of the Rovers stuff on a shoestring budget.

To be fair mate, he’s been keeping the club afloat for the last 3 years so I’ve no complaints if he ‘pockets’ the cash - particularly if he turns debt to equity as promised.
Whatever happens, it has to be a better experience than last time we were in the Prem....and we’re in blue!! :bluescarf:

He's already got a billion, that should be more than enough to keep him happy! Id be sorted with that, me!

sorry mate I think your view on Tans money a bit unbalanced

Me too. We already have a massive debt that needs to be taken into account. Running costs are going to be much higher next year, and I would have thought the long term future of the club needs to be considered. A lot of people happy to spend somebody else's money, and offering advice as to how he should run a business. Not sure how much advice he needs, he seems to have done ok out of his businesses so far, and probably knows a lot more about running a football club than he did when he got his fingers burnt last time we were promoted. Be good to see this club financially stable as opposed to appearing in court because of relatively small unpaid tax bills that threatened to put us out of business. Lost a bucket load of cash the last time, can't see him taking those sort of risks again.

Stand by what I said on a previous topic that a budget of at least 40million is required to survive

City are hardly going to come out and say “we’ve got £300 million to spunk on players” as this will vlearly inflate the costs of anyone we’re after.

If Tan doesn’t want to cough up then we ll go straight back down simple as that. Leicester have just sold Mahrez for 75mil, we will be fighting a mini league with 5/6 teams as we will not compete spending 20/30 mil. Other teams may have survived spending little but we will struggle imo unless Tan gets his chequebook out, we have one of the less talented teams in years going up.

I suppose it's a difficult one. Tan could cough up and we could still go down. Don't want to end up like Swansea or Villa. What I've noticed is that a lot of people who want Tan to splash the cash are the same people who wanted him out not so long back. Personally, I think the club needs to be run properly with finances under control, spending big does not guarantee anything. We just have to trust the people in charge of finances to be sensible, and hope that Warnock can work his magic and make sure there are at least three teams who finish lower than us.

Tan gave Warnock approx 12m to get us promotion the same as Malky and I reckon he will give him a budget of 50m in Premiership the same as Malky. It’s more that the three clubs promoted last year and should be enough to survive as long as we have better buys than Madine and Tomlin?

Is Tan really playing a risky game? Or is he doing the complete opposite...

Quite a few hypocrites on here... Want Mr.Tan to splash the cash now but wanted him gone not so long back!!!
No manager will be happy with what funds they are given and will always want more so this story is another load of trash, Personally think NW will be backed enough to keep us up but will need to shift some deadwood first as there's quite a long list who need to go.

Hope we don't spend big and then find ourselves back in the same boat of vastly overpaid players in the Championship if we went down would rather see Mr Tan and NW spend wisely and keep reducing depts.

Surely you need to back that up with evidence, accusing people of being hypocrites you need to back that up or take it back. Which members have said they wanted Tan gone now won’t him to splash the cash?

When spending big money. Admittedly he finds good players on the free, but when it comes to spending Big he has faltered, Madine and Tomlin the examples. Hopefully he will get it spot on this season.

Jules, I couldn't agree more! :thumbright:

Although it has to be a positive that Vincent Tan's stock appears to have turned a corner at the CCS, there are still some pretty contradictory statements being made regarding his 'spend or be frugal' options

Neil Warnock must be a club owners dream; he gets results with minimal layout...and enjoys it, too!

The club need to balance the books (I think most of us agree with that) before he eventually goes or we could end up like the club down the M4 West...or worse! It nearly happened before VT got involved and it's not beyond the realms it could happen again, if we are not a little more prudent whilst we build on recent successes

The hypocrites are ripe on here where "Tan Out' and 'Tan but spend' are concerned but my view is let Neil Warnock deal with VT and I'm sure a sensible compromise will take place

The club rarely divulge such info and I don't expect that to change. Personally, I'm okay with that! :ayatollah:

Just to need to look at Villa Sven as an example of how quickly you can get into big trouble if you do not look after your finances correctly. The same thing applies to any business. Have to live within your means. Apparently, the Villa mess has been ten year in the making. Sounds like they lived for today with no thought about their long term future. Going to see a few of their big earners moved out shortly. Fans need to realise that Tan has to plan for more than just next season if we want to see our club doing well in the long term. Also have to remember the massive debts already here, which have probably increased since the last set of audited accounts were published. Not just a case of here's £150m, go and spend it. Take off what is already owed, wages and some new players, and that has all gone plus plenty more. We are not a big club, and I think we will be one of the lower spenders in this league. Does'nt mean we will have a disastrous season if we spend wisely.

Nope,Not taking anything back.
Are you honestly saying that you have not read a 'Tan out' post plus a 'Tan must spend ' post by anyone?
I am not going trawling through here looking for individuals to name and by the way it's 'want'
