Looked at eticketing this morning and it seems that thousands more were sold overnight.

Maybe only 3-4K left.

Think this will sell out by Monday

Always great to post a negative comment ahead of a huge game, in fairness you seem a super fan buying them early woopy. Anyone who refers to plastics in my option in not supporting the club as we need these so called plastics to go forward as a club.

I just don't get this plastics crap. If you buy a ticket and walk into the CCS to support Cardiff for the 1st time you are a fan in my book.

The alternative is to wait for the hardcore fans to gradually perish and the club ends up with no supporters 50 years down the line cos we're all dead.

Spot on.
New or returning fans can become the season ticket holders and regulars of the future too

See the usual suspects have started rolling out the 'plastics' again, Oh to be a SuperFan.
Remember... Todays walk-up could be tomorrows regular.

Should the club now stop selling season tickets for next season and increse prices if we go up ??

Re: Updated: Fastest tickets sales in recent history is what

Sun Apr 29, 2018 7:57 am

Not many season tickets left in Canton or Ninian.
Grandstand and corners still plentifull.
Win next week and I expect the segregation to be reduced freeing up more seats in the Ninian ,followed by the middle tier opening.

Turn up early to create a fantastic atmosphere and sing your hearts out throughout the game for the boys. :ayatollah:

They should release the entire lower ground for season ticket sales as they have capacity for match day sales in the upper as necessary. In fact they should consider opening some of the level 4 and 5 for Season ticket sales this week as I think people will bite this week.

Even if we don't get up, there'll be a legacy of increased crowds for next year. Thanks mainly to Neil Warnock.

I doubt there'll be many left by lunchtime. They'll probably release 118 in the Ninian and maybe go down to a couple of lines of segregation. Maybe a little more in the family once they get feed back on Reading sales.

Re: Updated: Fastest tickets sales in recent history is what

Sun Apr 29, 2018 8:42 am

The tickets are flying out, 3 blocks now in upper with very few tickets left.
Really see it being sold out by this evening, with just 118 segregation left as stated to open.
Perhaps once the club knows the Reading ticket sales they can open more of the away end to city fans.
Really encouraging take up.

Tick.

It's true as well. Let's not worry about fans only turning up when the success has been "built".

Let's rejoice in the fact that given a little success we can call on 30k at the drop of a hat.

Spot on  I have followed City since the 60’s and been a season ticket holder for a long time however I regard everyone who turns up to watch City a ‘supporter’. There are numerous reasons why supporters do not go to every game and it is for them to make that decision. The term ‘plastic’ is totally unnecessary and every City fan should be pulling in the same direction.

Yes, there are fans who spend a fortune watching every home game and some who spend a fortune travelling to many away games across the country. That should be applauded but does that give a small minority the right to call some City supporters ‘plastics’? Everyone has different personal circumstances.

Let’s welcome EVERY supporter who wishes to follow City through the good & the bad times and these fans could be the fans who introduce future generations of fans to the club. :bluescarf:

514 sold out ,followed shortly by 515,513 and 512.
Only the end blocks have a few left for sale.
Probably only a 1000 left for sale, will definately be sold out today.
Incredible.

Same here..

Lived away for 6 years and played parks football for years, so even though I feel like I've seen it all I missed loads of games in the 90s.

Had a season ticket now for about 20 years.

Over the past few years I've done more and more aways and this season I've done 19 aways.

Doesn't make me any better than anyone else.

Hopefully some of these new fans or others who are just going to more than they used to will help grow the club further.

Surely that's all we want ?

Must be frustrating for those that turn up every week to see tickets selling out so quickly for this game,l get that but some of us although not going to games anymore still have the club in out hearts and always will l don’t go anymore l don’t finish work early enough on a Saturday but with only a few more years to retirement lm sure health permitting l will return and just as l took my son to games in the eighties and beyond l now have a five year old grandson who l know is being brought up in the right way and is being slowly introduced to Cardiff City just as my dad did with me ,so even though l won’t be there Sunday l can honestly say that unlike the chant where were you when we were shit l can say l was there in those times and if we do it take it from me l will be dancing with joy in my living room next Sunday

Couldn't agree more. It really gets on my goat when we see posts about plastic's blah blah blah so the poster can promote their own self importance

We should all be glad that we are doing so well that more Bluebirds want to come and see us and that is what is important :bluescarf:

Media Wales then reported after reading our forum :bluebird:

Cardiff City v Reading the hottest tickets in town as fans clamour to see planned Premier League promotion party

Sunday 29th April 2018

Cardiff City fans are clamouring to buy tickets for next Sunday's planned Premier League promotion party.

Tickets for the huge showdown with Reading are said to be going faster than any in the recent history of the football club.

As we write, 26,000 seats have gone for the game at Cardiff City Stadium, with hospitality areas completely sold out.

The Bluebirds have opened up the Upper Ninian Stand to cope with the huge demand, but sold 4,000 tickets in just one hour after Saturday's brilliant 2-0 win at Hull.

That result means Neil Warnock's aces will be promoted into the top flight if they beat struggling Reading and by hook or by crook supporters want to be there for the historic moment.

The official capacity for Cardiff City Stadium is 33,280, but with segregation taken into account that figure gets reduced. Reading are expected to bring around 1,500 fans of their own.

The Bluebirds' top of the table clash with Wolves a few weeks back drew a record Cardiff City Stadium crowd of just under 30,000 for a league match. That figure will be eclipsed on this occasion.

Bluebirds chief executive Ken Choo confirmed: "Tickets are selling very quickly and we'd anticipate them going by Monday or Tuesday. They've been selling at 4,000 an hour - our computers are working overtime!

"It's great that we will have such fantastic support for such a hugely important match. Our fans are superb."
