Behave ya clown he had no chance with the pace and swerve, Neves class player at this level caused us all sorts of problems

Yep compare recent record of games with Grujic against Gunnarson, really needed Grujic’s control tonight.

He touched it. It was the only place the lad could put it. If I can see it from over 500 miles why can’t anyone else. Neves was rank all night.

Part and Parcel of being a city fan!! If we wanted it easy we would go and glory hunt like the majority! Can't see why Pilks didn't take.... he has scored a pen for us before and was the obvious choice! We need Ralls back asap he is our engine in midfield and has got an end product.

Sorry mate I appreciate everyone is entitled to an opinion but your registering off the chart here.

We were the better side and they beat us with a good free kick. This is not the end Of The world If they spanked us 4-0 your comments would make sense. They didn't and they literally had nothing to worry our keeper other than a great free kick.

You crack on with your nuts we're shit theory. I'm gonna look at things more positively and go with the fact that the best team in the division couldn't break us down.

Nothing else to fear.

I hope not but fully expect Fulham and villa to take advantage of this. We will probably fall apart as ever. We aren’t meant to be in the premier league, it’s just not the Cardiff way, when newer fans realise this everyone can go back to chilling out.

Cannot see how we were the better side, even with the most blue tinted of spectacles on!

Etheridge had to make far more saves than Ruddy and they even missed a more or less open goal. They cut through our midfield at will, were much more comfortable and composed on the ball and won every second ball.

We created virtually nothing, had wingers playing as full backs and persisted all night with the usual pointless long throws into their box at every opportunity.

I also agree that Wildschut and Madine were unbelievably poor this evening. I admire your positivity but saying we were the better team is stretching the point much too far.

I thought we created more chances. Pilks is the one with enough arrogance and self confidence to take the penalty when Joe is out.

Madine I’m afraid offers little.

Precisely pilks no 1 for pens if rolls not playing :o

Sorry I can’t see how anybody thinks the better team lost tonight. I was disappointed in Wolves who I thought were going to be this fantastic team but what really concerned me, was the lack of clear cut chances we created. We looked a lot livelier when Pilks came on and I hope he gets a start in the next game. I thought Gunnars was very poor in the first half and wonder why Grujic wasn’t playing. I’m cant work out Madine yet but I’d try him instead of Ken if we continue to knock the ball high instead of to Ken’s feet. They should have let Pilkshave the first pen, at least he’d have blasted it.

As always it’s the hope that gets you ! Had we lost 1-0 without the penalties somehow it wouldn’t have felt so bad.

Need to regroup and put in a performance on Tuesday and focus on getting the 14 points that guarantee promotion no matter what Fulham or Villa do but I still think we may not need that many points.

Re: MY VIEW:CARDIFF TONIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR BIGGEST LEAGUE

So hard to stay positive after that. Pilkington should have taken the penalty. He was full of confidence after Monday night and was our penalty taker last year? £6m for Madine? Seriously? He’ll only ever be remembered for that miss. How the hell do we pick ourselves up after that?

Get a grip FFS, Wolves are by far the best team in the league and won it with a fantastic strike. We got ourselves out of jail against Sheff Utd, so the boys have proved they have the bottle, it was just a bridge too far tonight. If Fulham do pull this back, then they will have been on a phenomenal run, that would surely deserve promotion. Just remember, we will not face tougher opposition than we did toniight. Back on it on Tuesday, at least a point is needed. C’ mon you blooz

Poor night for the city and Warnock , so what if opposing manager wouldn’t shake his hand , get over it .. they beat us. we lost .. move on .. if he picked the right team in the first place we wouldn’t have all this bollocks .. and don’t forget to practice some penalties for the play offs...

Two awful penalties.

Fair play to Wolves, that Neves goal was good enough to win any match. They’ll win the league now and they deserve it.

Got to get our heads back up for Villa on Tuesday.

The gap could be two points tomorrow.

Two points after playing one more game though !!!

The points difference is still five after the same number of games !!!!!!!!

I thought Wolves were far and away the best team to visit the CCS this season and they fully deserved their victory but our lads stood up to them in the only way they know how, by giving everything they had.

The thing is with our team is that they are better than the sum of the individual parts and there is a never say die mindset running right through the heart of the team. Anyone who doubts that should remember that we forced two injury time penalties last night and that simply doesn't happen if you give up. The fact that we missed both only serves to back up my thoughts that as a group we are better than the individuals within the group.

Having said that I believe that there was a player in a blue shirt who has the quality, confidence and determination to take a penalty in circumstances like last night and that's Anthony Pilkington. Why on earth he wasn't given the ball god only knows but for me NW should know his players and it was his job to make sure Pilks was given the ball.

We now need to win 4 out of our 6 remaining games but one thing is sure we won't meet a better team than the one we faced last night, and we know our team will never give up so the dream is still very much on. Whatever even if it's the playoffs I believe in NW and this group of players to stand up to the pressure and win through.

One game at a time starting with Villa.

Villa away will be even harder. They destroyed wolves at home the other week.
Norwich away never easy.
Derby away will be harder. Back to full strength and back in form.
Hull away won’t be easy, fighting for their lives and just held wolves to a draw.

Exactly, still entirely in our own hands. Awful performance tonight and a strange selection from Warnock. Wildschut is awful, Madine even worse. Lots of players gone off the boil, can't help thinking finding a place for Gunner has derailed us.

Very true about Gunnarson. We were doing fine, even got over Ralls' injury. Now it's all disrupted in midfield.

Agree. Gunnarson didn’t have a good game at Sheffield but who did? Thought he was better tonight but our midfield was absent again. Thankfully, they didn’t create as much as they should have done given the freedom in midfield. Ralls has been a big loss but Gruijic has done well. Villa and Norwich will decide where we end up but you can’t help but feel tonight’s embarrassing end gives us an indication. Anyway, we must try and get something on Tuesday :bluebird:

2 of their players Neves and Costa cost nearly 30 million. If they don’t promotion the manager would be gone. What Warnock has done on our budget is miraculous

Top post Castleblue.

I would have started Pilkington last night, but I'm afraid it was a case of the 'same old same old' ,,, with the midfield anyway.

Couldn't hold or pass the ball, no service to Zohore. How we missed Grujic (is this something to do with a return to Liverpool) & Ralls. As for the penalty's, they were both farcical,,, bearing in mind that our club has been to Wembley twice in recent years through penalty shootouts,,, perhaps we should have had a third,,, who knows!

Wolves were better than us in every single battle last night, I don't understand how player's who were not exactly in the game last night take a penalty both looked uncomfortable while they waited to take them

Yes they did, but surely no one held a gun to their heads. They must have put their hands up to take them. My view same as most, why didn't Pilks take one. He has taken them for us before, he was fresh & on a scoring roll?? Doesn't make sense.
