FFS, please can everyone just grow a pair.

People who are "harping on" about promotion are just people who are looking at the reality of the situation, and they're probably right. Anybody who doesn't beleive we'll go up should go and put their money where their mouth is. They will be lighter in the pocket.

We've had set backs in the past, and they hurt. But we've never had Warnock at the helm to guide us through before now. Have faith, the Blues are going up...... :bluescarf:

We are getting closer to achieving what many thought was highly unlikely at the beginning of the season, automatic promotion!

We are so close, let’s embrace it :bluescarf:

Agree and hopefully this will stop the many on here banging on about promotion all the time.
Who we should buy, polls on promotion, etc, etc. Becoming no better than Wolves fans.
Embarrassing.

OK should everyone visit this board and post nothing? :?

We are football fans it goes with the territory you might not like the polls, debate etc. but I love it and it's one of the reasons why I think this board is the tops

If that's embarrassing then I'm happy to be embarrassed.

Still early I know but I'm personally hoping that the pre-season predictions thread is going to be reposted if we do make it to the PL. ;)

I'll admit at 1-0 down with 90 minutes on the clock I was making some rather choice remarks towards the TV  But that is because as you say promotion seasons don't happen very often especially to the top flight.

I just hope the amazing hard work put in by the brilliant Warnock Wonders side will go down in history as our best promotion EVER!

Success brings optimism so we can understand people being a little down/negative.But in the cold light of day a point away from home is not bad.
Look out Wolves I feel a performance coming :bluescarf:

That was a brilliant point, if you asked any Villa or Fulham fan right now, whose position they would rather be in, I don't think many would say theirs instead of ours, it is all positive, all games massive now, performances do not matter, points do.

Agree was a great point and it's looking like we will get promoted just don't want to get ahead of myself yet ,I think 3 more wins should be enough, if the gap is still around the same after wolves and villa I think we'll be up

Let's enjoy it while we can; these sort of seasons come around so seldom for us. What harm does it do revelling in the excitement except bringing the individual down to earth with a bang if it goes wrong. The bookies have us firm favourites to go up and it's not often they are wrong. Despite us having a few tricky matches coming up it's worth remembering that back in September when we played Fulham we were 9 points ahead of them: today we are 8 points ahead of them. Not an awful lot has changed for virtually all the season! What's the odds of that changing substantially in 4 weeks?

I think Warnock's reaction at the end last night captured the reality of the situation. He was absolutely delighted with a point achieved at a difficult ground against difficult opponents and with a team slight off their top game. Would he bet against us going up now?

Re: MY VIEW:" MIND THE GAP/ MIND THE GAP ASTON VILLA "

Tue Apr 03, 2018 9:58 am

I'm confident we are up automatically although I'm aware of the fat lady's singing.

Fulham is our main concern. Villa are on a horrible run and will take some doing to turn it around. I believe them playing us at the time will be a bit earlier than they want. Even though we were not good last night, Villa have not been any better lately. I can see us wither winning or getting the draw to kill of their auto chances for good.

Let's be honest here, we're all a wee bit twitchy right now. Why? Because we are on the verge of something very special.

Pre-season we were written off by the bookies, we were written off by Sky and let's be honest, we were written off by many of our own. But we find ourselves in a position most of us never dreamed of.

I've always said the joy is in the journey, and not the destination. Nobody can argue that this season has not been an incredible journey, and maybe, just maybe, Warnock gets what he deserves.

If we fail, so what. Pick yourselves up and go again. But if we succeed, what an amazing turnaround that will be.......zeros to heroes in 18 months.

We've just got to believe. It's not gloating, it's not counting chickens, it's not being smug, it's just a belief in the squad that Warnock has assembled. Personally I think we are going up, but whatever you think, get behind the team. They need us as much as we need them.

No not at all. You misread my meaning or perhaps I put my point over badly.
Of course I enjoy the forum and debates, you’ve only got to look at my post count to see that. The thing I hate is when all the talk is about taking it for granted that we’re up already. The arrogance comes across with some on here and that’s what I find embarrassing - hence the Wolves comparison.

It’s a bit like a couple of months ago when there were many posts stating Swansea were down, there was no way back and they were even going all the way down the leagues!
You notice Warnock and the team never mention promotion and although I sometimes chat about it, I prefer personally not to jump the gun like many.

Can I pose something to you OGEB? If the only time we talked about promotion was when it is a foregone conclusion, we'd end up with three geezers having a chat during the summer, when most on this forum are on their jollies.

I don't think any poster is saying it's a done deal, I just think some are reveling in the position that we find ourselves in, and let's face it, if you can't enjoy it now when can you? The Blues are going up :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:
