Blackman banned as Sheffield United host Cardiff

Sheffield United will be without goalkeeper Jamal Blackman for the Sky Bet Championship clash with Cardiff.


Blackman begins a three-match suspension following his sending-off for a tussle with Ryan Woods against Brentford on Good Friday.

Welsh duo Lee Evans and David Brooks will be pushing for starts after returning to the bench against the Bees following international duty.

Midfielder Paul Coutts remains sidelined as he recovers from a knee problem.


Aron Gunnarsson returned to the Cardiff team against Burton and suffered no ill-effects from his 23-minute run-out.
Gunnarsson has not played since November because of ankle surgery but after returning for Iceland in the international break was back in a Bluebirds shirt against Albion and will be looking to win back a starting place.

Jazz Richards has had a setback with his ankle injury in training which will rule him out for another two to three weeks.

Joe Ralls remains out with a hamstring problem.

I think having a different player in gunnarsson has unsettled the midfield in a tough away game.
The 3 in midfield have never played together before. Strange decision to play him in this game from the start.

Not looked good all half really need to change the formation its just not working vs Sheff who are prob thinking how easy the game is. Our players are getting dragged all over trying to cover.

I hope warnock gives them a rollicking ht,not 1 single player done sfa in that first half,no fight,most of them look as if they don't want to be there, sort them out warnock
