Great minds. Amen.
Just enjoy both sports. Or don't.
Does seem a bit odd; but I also bet there are some who have responded who will be at the game or (at least) watching it come 2:15pm Saturday, whilst updating the City game at Leeds United

Personally.
I'll have both on the telly.

Number 8 - couldn't they think up a name for the bloke at the back of the scrum who puts his head between two arses?
So forwards are never referred to as a number 9 or 10 in football?

Reason why you hate rugby is because they don’t fake injury ok the picth like footballers 5 min later there fine but with rugby they basically do that 10 times worse and carry on

Men down the pub in an old cotton traders jersey with faded Tesco bootcut jeans and a battered pair of running trainers

Why not be honest and say you hate it because it’s the countries number one sport and takes attention from the football[/quote]
That's pretty much it, I'm looking forward to going down the pub this afternoon to watch it. Cheap booze offers and free curry and chips at half time, it'll be packed in there. If it was a Wales football international, there'd be about 10 in there.

National support agreed .but why is it when clubs/regions play there's always a "sea of empty seats"?. Surely the national game should attract good support always?.

True, but smaller Clubs near to me all attract well over 100 each for home games, Treorchy maybe 200. The local football equivalent are lucky to get 50 watching them.

Yes what as the rugby clubs got that most football clubs don't have? A club house to go and socialise it's the bar that attracts these fans as much as game! as you said pubs pact for rugby but empty any other time?

The posh and middle class boys of the western mail then BBC over the last 100 years have done a grand job of convincing the public that rugby was the national sport over the vulgar and professional sport of football.
Wales by nature is a parochial country and supporting your street, village, town, city, region or country is part of our DNA.
What the WRU in cahoots with the BBC over the last 20 years is convince everyone to drop the village, town, region and plum straight for country. Club and regional rugby is dying, but my mate who was at our place on Sunday shelled out £80 to watch a what is a gloried friendly. That's great business !
The BBC has only really got the six nations and Wimbledon and they both draw the "occasion" rather than the actual sport crowd.
I grew up in the 80's/90's and always got tickets at what appeared normal prices to watch Wales at the national stadium. My mate phoned me a few months back saying he could get us tickets and city were away but at £80 i politely refused.
I dislike what its become, but i will be watching with my bottle of stella trying to get a feed for the Leeds game. I have little idea who starts for us and who they play for, but that places me in the majority.

I love both, but obviously football more, however I’ve fallen out of love with Rugby for three reasons:
1- the cost of international rugby is criminal how they can justify the money for a ticket is beyond me, your talking £100 for NZ that happens pretty much every year now so it’s not exactly a one off or rare event.
2 - hinted to it just back a point, same old same old - whether it’s the 6 nations or autumn internationals it’s just flogged to death every year! Why can’t they play autumn internationals one year and six nations the other would totally improve the excitement- answer - Money
3- regional rugby is dead, there’s no money - I used to have a season ticket at the blues watching Ben Blair, Rush, etc big names, now it’s some province reject from NZ that gets the star signing, or a grandma ruling international wannabe, coupled with a load of local lads rather than truly class players, I’d rather the defunct the system and have a proper club competition for the whole UK and Ireland
That is all

I like both football and rugby but if you think rugby players don’t fake injury you not watching many games Props go down all the time pretending to be injured to get a rest or take pressure off the scrum Players going down like a sack of shit pretending they have been obstructed When Ringer was sent off all those years back he hardly touched the player

Is it a national sport For every registered rugby player in wales there is 10 registered football players The crowds for rugby are really poor at all levels apart from internationals I would be confident when the World Cup football is on the tv audience in wales will higher than it was for the rugby and wales will not be playing

When people say 'where are you watching THE MATCH' tomorrow, really expecting you to sit and watch the crap

It brings out the most horrendous looking women I’ve ever seen in my life. Where they crawl out from I haven’t a clue.
Back in the clubbing days, the doors either wouldn’t let them in where we all were or we’d just leave Cardiff for the night and go elsewhere. Rather spend the night in the cells than in Cardiff town rugby international day.
