Two in who might make a difference and two out who haven't to date proved any real value. I think you're looking at this from the wrong angle but each to their own and the proof will come over the next few games :thumbright:

I'll be getting behind the team, as usual. I hope others will too...without getting on backs after 5 minutes! :ayatollah:

Can't blame someone who opts for a far bigger club than ours that are going to pay more money. Most players have no great loyalty to a club, and will go where the money is.

Goes to show that people should not believe all they hear. According to threads on this forum, this was a done deal, he was here having a medical, guaranteed to sign on Tuesday etc. etc. I even saw posters naming potential teams including players who have never played for us, and in all probability never will. I think there are plenty of others on here besides myself who have been around long enough to know that 90% of our so called targets were names plucked from a hat, and we would have a couple of weeks of reading absolute nonsense.

I like the way people suddenly change their minds on a player. We had a poll on which striker people wanted. Everyone chose Grabban, and I saw comments about us showing a complete lack of ambition if we signed any of the others in his place, and comments like we can forget promotion if any of the others were signed instead of Grabban. Seems like a lot of fans have changed their minds now, and are happy enough with the way things panned out despite what was said a couple of days back.

At least we now know our squad, and no need to invent any more names. Not sure if it was a good transfer window for us. If we reach the play offs (which I have always believed is the best we can hope for this season), I would say it was a good one. If we finish top two, I would say it was an absolute brilliant bit of business. See how things go I suppose and give everyone an opportunity to perform. Will be realistic with my expectations, and hope Warnock can pull off a minor miracle.

I think people are missing the point.

I'm sure Ward hasn't been signed to start, that was Grujic and Wildschut. Although, I do think Tomlin has issues that need to be sorted and probably pushed for a move closer to home, rather than us pushing for Ward to come here.

If we were destined to lose Tomlin this would have left us a player short, getting in Ward doesn't. It's a lot easier to get a solid championship player in a last minute swap deal for a player that was wanted by Forest and probably wanted the move than for us to (in very short notice) have to sign another midfielder. Shrewd business by the club in my opinion.

I honestly can't believe how gutted people are.
I was expecting to come on here and everyone be pleased with our window.

Grujic - Could end up being the championship signing of the window.
Ward - Will get more game time than Tomlin and will work harder. He was brilliant for Derby and is a player ive always admired.
Madine - Don't really know too much about him but I know he's won the most aerial duals and we've put in the most crosses so its a no brainer.
Wildschut - Again, I don't really know much about the player but he's talked about with huge potential and I like the look of him.

Everyones entitled to their own opinion and only time will tell I suppose.

Looking forward to the back end of the season.

Pretty much agree, I wanted Grabban but word has it he has a bad attitude, and we all know how important it is to have a good dressing room and a squad that get on. If Warnock has gone for Madine for attitude and to suit our style of play and head in some of those crosses, that's good enough for me.

Tomlin is no loss, and again I think Warnock wanted shot of him for a reason, maybe he did not have the effect on the dressing room that Warnock wanted, I am sure we will some an uplift in the next month, we need one, this is a very busy and important month for us !!!

Tomlin?

Not sure why he was signed. We knew what to expect, Bristol City fans warned us and it seemed as if most were glad to see him go. One of those luxury players, a couple of eye catching moves and passes, but inconsistent and for some reason appeared no closer to being fit than when he first joined us. One of those players I could never make my mind up about.

Tomlin and Bogle turned the game v Norwich on its head. I had great hopes for the pair of them thereafter but they were nothing short of woeful.

Something must have gone on behind the scenes which Warnock didn't like so have to trust the manager to know what he is doing.

Does leave us short up top though without Bogle.

Not fussed with tTomlin TBH

Was thinking the same we get rid of two who didn't play much part since coming here and get in two players who are ready and able to contribute to the team! Especially madine who suits our style better than grabban

Last three months of the season is about not choking. Tomlin hasn't owned a game he just looks good in a short highlights reel. When the chips are down is he going to dig us out. The end of the season isn't for purists, nerves from the pressure take over.

On reflection I can see a 4231

A defend first back 4 with Peltier back when fit

Grujic and Gunar or Ralls (any 2 from 3)

Holiett Kenny Wilchut (with any combo from NML,Harris, Pilks, Feeney, Ward)

Madine (kenny pushes up when Madine rested)

I doubt Warnock was ever going to trust Tomlin after the last three months performances
