What??

What's hard to understand?
Even Warnock stated etheridge wasn’t originally number 1 so your comment seems rather odd
I think Warnock didn't realise how good Etheridge was gonna be during pre season and because he worked with Camp he was obviously gonna give Camp confidence in that department.
Ok but you knew better huh?

Meh either way it’s just disappointing, another of one of the summers hopeful signings turning out to be useless to us

Sky sports ..
CAMP IN, STEELE OUT
Sunderland are bringing in goalkeeper Lee Camp on loan from Cardiff; Camp is on his way for a late-night medical.
And that move has allowed Jason Steele to go to Derby on loan until the end of the season.

Don't expect much more tonight other than Jamie Ward ( possibly ) and tomlin out with camp. If that happens that would be four players in adding much needed fire power and only two departures one who hasn't featured all season and the other who's warmed the bench all season. When you look at it like that, decent window.

Well no just thought looking at it at the time that Etheridge would be more hungry, younger(sometimes keepers get better with age) just felt like he had a bit more about him and Camp had a list of injuries in his career. Just felt since Forest he never really maintained his status for being a good keeper and struggled at Bournemouth in his last season and Rotherham last season.

Usually there are three GK's at this level. Etheridge has been very good. Murphy also and although I haven't seen Camp play I imagine he is also excellent and should be playing regular elsewhere. So we need a third for DVP and cover.
