I'll be very sorry to see Tomlin leave. Class player. Warnock must have his reasons.
I think all players who are signed should come and live in the area.
Living in Leicester hasn't helped, plus all the off-field problems.
When he's played he has always contributed creativity. It's totally wrong to say he's done nothing.

Like everyone getting on Whitts back in his last couple seasons here are we just gonna continue to slag off technical players here and just continue to praise players who work their selves into the ground like Ralls, Damour and Gunnarsson who I ain't denying are good players at this level but are really inconsistent and have cost us games losing battles in the centre of the park like Fulham home and Preston home especially where we got dictated by one man in Ben Pearson.

Like target men they are usually 95% of the time scapegoats, players like Tomlin are risk players and take risks in games where people like Ralls, Damour and Gunnarsson do the dirty work and take the easy options continuously and I feel like we lack that Tom Cairney in our team and I hope Grujic can be that sort of type.

I'm not too sure any of us would doubt his technical ability but like Whittingham he's a good player but has flaws and at the end of the day it's the overall contribution to the team success which is most important in judging a player's value.

Tomlin undoubtedly has very good skill but, unlike Whittingham, his failing is his motivational problem. He has never looked fit enough, performs well in short cameos but hasn't demonstrated enough to convince he is the player capable of achieving what we bought him for. There has also been talk of dressing room issues and who knows if that has been a problem for Warnock. On top of that, if it's true he commutes from Leicester that should never have been allowed and creates its own problem in itself.

I was a fan of Tomlin and I was thrilled when he came here, hoping for some great things from him but, with a couple of exceptions it was plain to see it was never going to work out. Like Whittingham a good player but never a great player and there is much better out there. Tom Cairney is a good shout but well out of our financial reach.

I think you have been a bit unfair with regard to Ralls, Gunnarsson and Damour; particularly Gunnarsson. He has far more technical ability than its fashionable to discredit him with. We have been lost without him and I'll remind you he didn't play against either Fulham or Bolton. It's not that we slate technical players as you say; we all love them and crave for their skills. The issue is getting ones genuinely good enough to consistently demonstrate a positive contribution to the team. They often cost an awful lot of money.

I can see the logic in Tomlin leaving but for Ward !!!! Can't or don't want to see it.

Bolton were in for bogle not long ago, don't think they have the money. Still think Warnock would let him go if it brokered another player.

The whole him travelling is probably the biggest problem in all of this more than his fitness for me.

Not denying the 3 I mentioned are good players and I disagree out of the 3 Gunnarsson has technical ability, he is probably one of the worst players I seen in his position for technical ability, sounds harsh but it is true.

You can't say Whittingham is just a good player, he was a fantastic servant here and won games on his own some games for us with his goals, passing, assists.

I just think with the 3 players I mentioned yes games like Sunderland it works well for us with them players bar Gunnarsson but we really lack a Tom Cairney like player, a player that can do a bit of everything, I really would have liked us sign Ben Pearson from Preston, MOTM by far when we played them end of December.

Don't expect much more tonight other than Jamie Ward ( possibly ) and tomlin out with camp. If that happens that would be four players in adding much needed fire power and only two departures one who hasn't featured all season and the other who's warmed the bench all season. When you look at it like that, decent window. :thumbright:

Lee Tomlin will leave that's true. Cardiff have rejected a bid for bamba two clubs in for him. Could yet be one or two surprises.

Be stupid to let either leave at this point, along with the potential signing of Madine do you think we will get another in Annis?

Dando, I have been told expect one or two surprises :thumbright: :bluebird:

No surprises yet :(

i'd be a bit aggrieved if i were bogle - we've just signed another striker, and then potentially warnock isn't too bothered he stays? suppose that's football but it all seems very rushed and ill thought with all the comings and goings at the moment.
