I've personally never been to watch England in my life so could hardly be classed a fan. If I was, I would certainly think twice about going. That doesn't mean that I'd "shit myself".

English (& Welsh) football lads are just lads who like football and will have a go if it kicks off. They do not dedicate their entire life to gyms, martial arts etc like the Russians do. People in England (& Wales) who are that dedicated to training are normally a little higher up the food chain than football violence, which let's face it, is right at the bottom, very small time and absolutely pointless.

As for "making their bed", this is also ridiculous. The people who "made their bed" are long since gone. The fans who follow England these days are generally just fans - The list of casualties in Marseille shows this. Whenever England have "made their bed" in the past, I've never seen them charge through cities bashing anything that moved, like Russia did in Marseille. It was the most cowardly action I think I've ever seen.

And like I said before, when I was in France I came across quite a few groups of English who had a really cocky, provocative attitude about them. It's really not a coincidence that anywhere you go in Europe the English are not thought very highly of.

Nobody who goes to a football match deserves life changing injuries, as happened to some in Marseille. Instead of saying they have made their bed, why not just admit that it is wrong?
