northernbluebird wrote:putting the rebrand to one side (which i don't forgive him for), how many owners do 'laps of honour'? pretty much only tan. i don't want an owner who wants attention and craves the fans chanting his name. he knows next to nothing about football, which is fine if he leaves footballing matters to football people, but instead he has made key footballing decisions which have cost the club huge amounts of money.
in short, he is not a fit and proper person to run a club.

I found it hard as i couldn't even look at them in that red kit.
The worst time wasnt even Tan it was are own fans for which a fast majority all waved free red there free red scarfs.
Seen us in bad positions as a club but in my almost 40 years as a fan that was my worst.
People exepted red for 100 mill and people looked at me like i was the wrong one.
All the followers who follow people followed until the die hards worked very hard to swing things back around.
I have now moved on and I forgive Tan and those fans who i did except there view but wasnt happy about it i thought cardiff city fans were bigger and better but thats all gone.
Life is to short i forgive but won't forget it all.

Lots of water under the bridge and whilst I'd not use the word 'forgive' (that would be to totally diss the damage that was undeniably done at the time) it is gone, the club has started to stabilise, the owner appears to have learned, the management/coaching team are as good as we've had for a long time and (most of) the fans have moved on in an effort to move forward rather than look backward
Exciting times ahead from Cardiff City FC and that's where our focus should be!![]()

agree - how this man has the neck to parade himself around our stadium is beyond me. any other club with more attachment to history and tradition would be sending death threats.

You're right and he changed the shirt colour TWICE...once to sooth his own ego and once in (what was for him) a massive climb down (regardless of the underlying 'business' reasons)
It took some balls (or maybe his mother's advice) to do that but the fact is that he did it and surely that is what counts?
A pretty magnanimous gesture to 'climb down' and one a few stubbornly entrenched City fans could do with copying

He did it because he had no choice unless he wanted to see his business hit rock bottom. Why can't people like you Sven see that?

I affirmed that in my post, i.e. (quote) "(what was for him) a massive climb down (regardless of the underlying 'business' reasons)"
My point is that it's gone, been rectified and it's well past the time to move on or some people (not necessarily you) will be consumed with bitterness for years to come. Life really is too short!

I'll remind you.
BU held a demonstration after the Swansea game. Sky Sports were holding their after match interview when they were interrupted by a section of lights in the stadium being switched off. The section were BU were demonstrating.
The fact they did that and did nothing about the threats from the Red Brigade tells me he would have played these rugby songs if it would have benefitted him.

i didnt need a reminder, the lights were partially put out on 0,0001% of our crowd .and yes it was interupted by lights flickering not noise.
as for the red brigade , the truth is i saw intimidation both ways. including an old fella at the end of the Brighton game being confronted and shoved by a boy in his 20s..the old fella had a red free scarf around his neck and shoulders but a blue one not so visible tucked into his coat.he was visbilbly shaken, threw both scarves to the floor and shouted sod this never again.{one of many minor incidents mostly at away games }.lets not pretend the bullying was just the one way
but anyway..the red has gone...the red brigade {if it ever existed } gone...all that remains are the toxic avengers..
and at this point in time id love to see a poll...who is doing the most damage...VT or the toxic avengers not that youd pay any attention to the result.
