 I agree such a waste, but if he won’t get fit enough to play, get rid like his other clubs have !

There is no doubt that Tomlin has talent however his fitness is a major issue. He was blowing out his arse against PNE - the chance in the first half that should have been a 1 on 1 became a 1 on 3 because he running backwards on a treadmill. NW isn't stupid, there's reasons he's not playing him despite us carrying a number of injuries throughout the squad.

Luke, I have to agree with you, Lee Tomlin is a very odd one?

Pay all that money and hardly play him? ?

I can only think that Warnock believes we are weaker in midfield with him in the side, much like Whittingham was, because he's no tackler, despite his obvious skills. Maybe if Gunnarsson were available he could feel he could risk his selection because the midfield would be more secure. We obviously need more quality in midfield as a priority.

I dont think he is as good as whittingham was. Even at the end of his time here. And we spent around 2 million on him.

I don't think he's as fit as Whittingham was but he's more creative. However, he's the type of player who needs a finely honed setup to fit in effectively. At the moment, given our inefficient midfield he's probably suited better as an impact player.

Whittingham was our most creative player over the 10 years he was here. maybe he didnt go passed people but made up for it with his eye for a pass..plus his dead balls in comparison were on a totally different level.
im not making any sort of case that we should have kept Whitts its just i expected the replacement to at least be half as good.Tomlin to date just isnt.

Tomlin was one of our better players that game.

yes and no...Zohore put him through for what would have been a one on one had it been any of our other players..
