I don't know anyone who stopped going to games because of the rebrand so can't really say about that. What I have noticed though is a lot of people who used to have season tickets year on year have now stopped due to settling down and having a young family. Not saying they couldn't afford it still but their choice is to spend money elsewhere.

Think we have a lot of loyal fans but our fan base has changed more than any other club in the last 10 years.

Many who used to go to ninian park for its liveliness don’t go these days. Plenty saw us go up last in 2013 and it was shambolic, do they care about promotion anymore? I really don’t think so, crowds are low and I bet most just think we will implode at some point, maybe make the playoffs but inevitably lose out, again. So is it worth more pain so to speak? I wasn’t at the game last night but was driving towards canton before the game and was amazed as there was no traffic at all.....

It started with Wayne Nash and killing the atmosphere,then the police continually in fans faces,then the Rebrand.

There is a Port Talbot lad over here now and he says, Port Talbot/Neath use to love going down there and away on mass, now hardly any bother anymore and thats just two areas.

City do have a massive problem in getting our crowds back, massive.

We had 18K STs when we were in this position last time. We are down to 14K.

Besides my own explanations why I have not received any others why we are down 4K despite being back in Blue.

yes you heard them and then quickly dismissed when it doesnt fit your agenda.

personally i dont buy into it being the rebrand destroying our fans because generally what happens when fans feel they have been treated poorly is the opposite to what your saying..Annis often holds up examples to us.
clubs like Portsmouth , Luton and Herford in the face of it looking like the world was against them galvanised and are coming back stronger than ever...are our fans that different or was a 2 year rebrand far less than what happened at those clubs in the larger scheme of things..?
maybe our ST sales which had grown year on year for 7 years with the excitement of pushing for the prem and eventually the prem season itself was unsustainable without continued relative success { a period in the top league } ?
the spotlight always falls on the gap between ST sales in the prem and current ST sales...where as if you compare ST sales in the prem to ST sales 5 years prior there is an even greater gap...
i think if Tan left tomorrow our next crowd would be up 4k just as with the return of blue..everyman and his dog thats said HE is the reason they dont go would be there proving a point..2 games later they would go back to being once in a blue moon fans with some new gripe and excuse for not turning up.

Agree with most of this but the game after Tan left would not have that much of an increase in crowd just as the change back to Blue didn’t.

I don't have an agenda just opinions and give me an example where I have dismissed any. I think you will struggle on that one.

Regarding Portsmouth I quite envied them at the time of their troubles because I foresaw what they were capable of and I am delighted for them. I wished now we went through what they did instead of selling out and chasing the dream. Guess we are still chasing it.

Regarding the 4K I would say we have lost them now. The only way I can see us getting that number again is a generation of success in the Premier.

it really isnt dissimilar to whats happened down the road, crowds grew as they went up and remained in the prem..
next season { maybe the year after because their STs have been on sale for weeks for nxt season.} their crowds will dive.
will their fans say the truth about not going anymore or will they blame Huw ..the Americans..the trust....the answer is of course the excuses have started already.....their diehards have bought already..others are holding fire to see where they will be playing.
truth is those that love the club go..those that like the club will go if its success and find any excuse under the sun for not going other than the true one when times are tougher to not look fair weather fans.
