The half season tickets kicked in today.
Just checked and you are indeed correct. Any idea the total number of season tickets we've sold now with the half season tickets?
No idea mate.
Although I’d love to see bigger crowds, it doesn’t bother me like some people who fixate and seem to be obsessed with it.
If the stadium was sold out every week it would be brilliant but I agree it seems to be more of and issue on here than it should be. Our current crowds are sitting 6th highest of the last 45 years. That is including our premier league season, the season after and the 5 years of Risdale price freeze. I've seen people saying we should be getting 30k today, why? There's nothing to suggest such crowds and I think the amount we are getting is good enough as it is. Although the crowds might not have increased as much, the number of fans turning up seems much higher than last season. The stadium certainly feels fuller than last season
If your both not interested in the crowds, why are you always involved in these topics?
Cardiff North who is a new poster, but ip matches up to an old name Hmmmm Are always on these topics
It's not that I'm not interested, like you Annis I do like seeing crowd statistics and I do agree that bigger crowds would be great but there is nothing to suggest we should be getting such crowds. As to the IP you are correct. If I do recall my last account was banned due to commenting on the "Proud Jack" account which many posters have questioned about. The reason I made a new account is because I enjoy debating and agreeing/disagreeing with posters on this forum. Much preferred to the ccmb board so I hope you understand my position for creating a new account.
You were banned downing a Jack? ? ?
I much prefer a good debate![]()

But just because I stand by that our crowds are like 15th best in the Championship, yet We have been Top 3 for 5 months, sarcastic comments are said.
Today was Boxing Day and Our worst home crowd for many years and yes it worries me and to be fair it worries our club.
All season City have been throwing tickets out at Cheap prices, yet the people won't turn up? I could understand if we were bottom, but we have been fantastic on the pitch.
I love crowds/stats and it hurts when our are so low and every club in the land now takes the piss out of them.
If we fall down to say 6th,they should still stay about the 19,600 they currently are including away support.
All I recall is my last post was questioning why Proud Jack was not banned and agreeing with a poster that it helps generate hits for the site and then next session my account was banned.
If my comment sounded sarcastic I apologise. I read we had sold 23500 and was genuinely surprised as I would've guessed 22k tops I do agree if we end up in the play offs 19k is what we should be getting with the half season ticket sales added on

Not brilliant but you know why I think our crowds are low.
One day the penny will drop with one or two.
100% Agree with you Ian![]()
But the evidence in your own post suggests differently.
The two years in red we had our highest Boxing Day crowds.
Here we go again![]()
Neil, I stand by the Rebrand has done all this, you were not around so don't really know how badly it hurt the diehard City fans and the infighting.
Yes the crowds were massive in the Prem and on some of the promotion run, but as I have stated many times, most of the extra people were Glory hunters and coming to see the opposition. 100%.
Ok, you tell me why our home crowds are down and awful and away?
Plus how come we only took 1,290 fans to Burnley to win the Championship for the first time in our history?
Pay on the day,NO restrictions and allowed 3,500 fans.
Even I nearly never went.

Annis, you know how much the crowd debate annoys me but am going to agree with you on this. What I will say it's the rebrand and the premiership hangover. Today proved we have lost a lot of fans, I was surprised but the proof in the pudding.
What I will say is that it's improving and eventually it will return but it's going to take a lot longer than we thought, extra new fans don't just fall out of the sky when your in the championship. Still over 21,000 is something I could only dream of growing up watching the city.

Gareth, I have said it for years, the Rebrand has hurt our club far more than many realise and it will take many years.
You are right when we think back to Div 4 days 1,500-4,500 home crowds , We have come a long way, 17 years of success on the pitch.
But what worries me is that, we have the potential for big crowds and they are not returning.
Todays home crowd lowest for years on Boxing Day.

I struggle with numbers? You have struggling with biff posts all day.
I had better things to do than spend all night on here. To be fair I’m questioning my judgement in coming back at all.
I have answered about crowds loads of times. Mainly it was due to success that we hadn’t had in a while (Championship was unchartered for most fans) together with an above average amount of season tickets sold due to cup finals etc. I did a long post giving our average attendance over the last 20 odd years with why I thought they were high in places.
As for Ian saying the die hards stayed for the premiership season then with no hope of bouncing back stopped going I agree with you. However you call them die hards sensible people call them glory supporters. They might have been there in the dungeon days but they were just there for the journey to the Premiership. Glory supporters. End Off (sic)
