Got to hand it to the Wurzels they really deserved to win that. Hopefully, they will be knackered for the weekend ;)

They looked knackered in the last twenty minutes tonight. They had the same team out as they did on Saturday, apart from the goalkeeper.

Now they’ll have two extra games in January, which can only be good news for us.

Exactly, it's good news for us !!

The better result would have been if they had won in extra time and were even more knackered and a couple of injuries caused by the extra effort and an extra game.

They now have a major distraction and two extra games against Man City reserves who will hopefully run them into the ground in January, great news

Fair Play To Bristol City

Say what you like, that was a hell of a game and what a result.
They've had some shit seasons lately and LJ was hanging by a thread last year when most of them wanted him gone, but credit where it's due they went for Man U and stayed with 2 up top to the death,if that was Dave Jones in charge he'd have played a weakened team with one eye on getting out of the Champ,Pogba and Co' falling over everywhere protesting, welcome to the Championship pal !

I saw it more as a win for the Championship,Pogba and Co' falling over appealling for everything whilst a Champ team got stuck in and played a bit of footie as well

Watched the game and have to say Bristol City were good value for their win with a super opening goal, so hats off to them! :ayatollah:

They'll be thinking they're Bristolona right now but they looked tired, so hopefully a comedown on Saturday when they play an inconsistent but dangerous at home QPR at Loftus Road :thumbright:

Their league form should definitely suffer with this cup run, so it’s a great result for us. Wouldn’t surprise me if QPR beat them Saturday. I still remember us beating top of the Premiership Leeds, only to see us lose home to Peterborough 2-0 the game after.

and more recent...1 point behind 2nd spot, beat Palace on pens then just 2wins out of the following 13 lge games and an end to any hopes of automatic promotion
evidence shows more often than not extra cup games do effect lge form...
