Its the double standards that infuriate me, bad behaviour is bad behaviour regardless of who carries it out. If football fans behave badly they are classed as thugs and are dealt with accordingly. If rugby fans behave badly it is just boys being boys and high jinx.

Give 99% of Football fans today, total Respect and the Police will get it back.

We probably know a lot of the same people and some of those watch the City, too!

It's usually not the sport but the individuals themselves using the sport as an excuse!

No people are saying if football fans behave in manner rugby fans do eg being drunk, spewing up, peeing ect ect football fans will be locked up banned from games and probably given exclusion orders from city centre ? But rugby fans do it every international and bugger all is done or said about it.! that's what's being said

Trouble is trouble whatever it is; the Police should deal with trouble exactly as the law prescribes. Arrest, Investigate and Charge.

We have been treated like pariahs in some places following our club and I don't see it changing anytime soon but continue to support the club because we love it and lets be fair it is the most played sport in Wales!!!

Don't think anyone mentioned hooligans as that's the past and thread is about how rugby fans don't have same sanctions put on their behaviour as football fans do for similar offences on match days! But guess police saying enough enough because the cost must be huge in man power?

The same mentality applies on the pitch albeit not as bad these days. Remember the massbrawls that use to break out on a regular basis on the rugby pitch and what was ever done about it,f..k all,some of the players weren’t even sent off. Yet when football teams were involved in a mass “brawl”, which was hardly anything more than pushing and shoving, the press used to go way over the top about it and there would be huge fines and some players banned. How often have we actually seen a footballer punch another player,very rarely. I’m going to the egg on Saturday because my son wants to go so I do enjoy going occasionally but I wouldn’t go if the City were home.

Saw an interview a few months ago with a copper saying he couldn’t believe the way normal decent blokes with good jobs turn into complete monsters on all day benders watching rugby. They get nicked and have absolutely no memory of what they have done. More to the point he said there are 100’s of them on the lash causing so much trouble there weren’t enough police to cope. They think it’s ok to behave this way, high jinx and all that bollox. Very intimidating to normal folks out clubbing. We used to shoot off away from Cardiff when rugby was on and leave the Neanderthals to it.....

More stories out today about disabled person being verbally abused by 7 drunken men inside stadium (who left at 65mins) and women subject to crude language! Stadiums excuse for not taking action we didn't hear it?
