Makes you wonder how many we would have got if it was not for the rebrand.
Ian, I stand by this, if it was not for the Rebrand, our home crowds would prob be another 3,000 plus home(average), it has destroyed so many diehards feelings for our club.
One example of many I know is Mallo, he use to do all the plumbing & other odd jobs for the City free in the 90's.
Mallo use to have for his big family about 8 season tickets for the rebrand and had some for 25 years.
Now Mallo has only 3 season tickets and has only been to about 7 home games in the last few seasons, one so far this season, he has lost that feeling as the club destroyed it.

agree - city fans have always been fickle, but i've no doubt we'd have a couple more thousand were it not for the rebrand.
as i'm sure you'll remember, it is not just the rebrand, but the total disregard the club showed towards the fans that left a very bitter taste in the mouth for many. the infighting between pro red and pro blue factions left many completely disillusioned with what they felt the club had become.
not to mention the vile attitude shown by tan to his paying customers. although i have continued to renew through thick and thin, i personally have never forgotten the contempt tan showed to us, and continue to be amazed at his continued audacity to have 'laps of honour', and even more amazingly, that people cheer him.

Maiky’s promotion year and obviously the year were well supported, and then back in the championship was not too first year as I believe there was a lot of optimism of going straight back up.But it came all too clear we weren’t going up and Slade and Trollopes football was just dire and we started to lose fans rapidly.
These fans are just not coming back as quick as they left.Shame.

No factor. Two out of three of Our highest crowds over the last few years were when we were rebranded. That’s not defending Tan simply stating a FACT!

On balance Tan has been good for this club.
However we can't hide the fact he suffered from naivety when dealing in the football world and has seen a number of people take advantage.
The reference to 'customers' was one of those moments and damaged him far more than he realised at the time. He also made other mistakes such as declaring we had a £25m transfer budget the night we got promoted, the rebrand, the way the rebrand was implemented by blackmailing the fan base (no investment without it) and his managerial appointments.
Without doubt I'm sure he would do things differently if given the chance. But we must also remember he has given us the longest financial stability I can ever remember, nearly 8 years without one mention of a winding up order is quite something over the recent history of CCFC.

If you don’t want to go because it doesn’t ‘feel’ the same, then fair enough. There’s no problem with that at all. You pays your monies and make your choice.
Yes Tan just like all of us makes mistakes, but he has corrected them. Without him we wouldn’t have a Club to watch. He’s done what we all wanted and changed us back to blue. He has a manager and team in place that gives 100%. No more boring Slade shite with sideways/backwards passing. We have genuine pace in the side and are a threat to every defence. Warnock himself has stated publicly he’s had great support from Tan, Dalman and Choo. Just remember when we were about to go out of business, there was no long queue of multi millionaires waiting to pump money into this failing club. Annis as a successful businessman himself will know for sure that you don’t become successful by pumping money into a company that’s losing a million pound a month and your ‘thanks’ is the public hating you for it.
I drive 350 miles for every home game and as a season ticket holder I intend to watch every game. I miss Ninian Park, standing on The Bob and the CCS isn’t the same. However I want the stadium to be filled by fans who are there to support the boys unreservedly. I don’t drive for hours and spend literally thousands on fuel for Tan or anyone else. I go for my team. I’d encourage you to get your arse down there for the same reason. If not, then the place doesn’t need you.

If you are not attending because of the rebrand then you are not a Cardiff City fan you are just someone who continually gripes about anything, get a life. Our crowds are poor and it is pointless writing on this forum to try to get more fans to attend games as the people that don't attend certainly will not be accessing this forum. The club needs to get the message out to the general public by advertising more. They are trying many schemes but they seem to be targeting the people who already attend. If we supposedly have around 260,000 registered fans where the hell are they. Can the club poll them to ask why they don't attend and plan a strategy from there.![]()
