Lee Johnson's programme notes

"This afternoon we welcome Cardiff City to Ashton Gate for the Severnside derby, which I know is an important fixture for both sets of supporters."
"On the pitch it sees two in-form teams going head-to-head with three important SkyBet Championship points at stake."

"The atmosphere in our last home match, the 4-1 win over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup, was electric and we’ll need something similar today."

BristolCity will wear poppies on their shirts today. There will also be a minute's silence ahead of kick-off. #LestWeForget

I can’t believe Warnock has dropped Tomlin. He was a breath of fresh air on Tuesday and we looked a threat with him in there. Warnock was saying he doesn’t like to change a winning team then drops him. Bamba is no midfielder, he’d rather drop one of our biggest threats than upset Bamba. Getting a bit fed up with this to be honest.

We're going away to one of the best teams in the league, we can't afford to start a luxury player like Tomlin, especially considering he was gassed after 60 minutes just 4 days ago. This is our optimal set up for tough away games. Keep it tight, solid, and hit them on the counter. We win this game by not losing. Bring on Tomlin later in the game against tired legs if we're chasing.

This isn't football manager ffs, be realistic and get behind the man who has turned us into s force.

There's an early stoppage in play as Mendez-Laing goes to ground and requires treatment.

Yellow peril

Peltier is in the book already for a check on O’Dowda.

Not great news, such an early yellow like that.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing replaces by Liam Feeney due to injury.

My choice as well but in Warnock we trust

Maybe he still has that knock or maybe he just wants the pace in the wide area.

1-0 BRISTOL CITY

Callum O’Dowda makes it 1-0.

Bristol City playing some nice stuff, most of it coming through No.10 Bobby Reid who is dropping between the lines. He can’t link up with Djuric this time though.

Feeney makes inroads down the Cardiff right and wins a corner.

Great save by Etheridge

Bristol City look far more threatening in the final third of the pitch and deserved their early lead because of that extra cutting edge.

Pack booked for a foul on Feeney. Dangerous position for a free kick. 2/3 yards outside the box

I rest my case. 1 down, getting smashed and Bamba is no midfielder. Are you here? I am and I could see this coming with that selection.

Look at my posts as well, I’m a massive Warnock fan but I feel he’s got it wrong today and I can see it unfolding before my very eyes. If he doesn’t change this up soon we’re going to lose by a couple, it’s all them since the goal.

We need someone to take hold of the game and control things a bit more. We are running around like headless chickens.

This is looking like an uphill task today especially as with Mendez-Laing we have 8 players out injured today at least 4 of them first choices

Hoilett breaks into the #BristolCity half and his cross from the byline is smothered by Fielding. 1-0. #BRCvCAR

Lovely pass from Sol Bamba to find @OmarBogle9 down the left wing. Bogle cuts in and shoots, but Fielding saves. (1-0)

1-1 Bogle :ayatollah:

Hoilett has been destroying their fullback for a bit, much better by City.
