it's certainly a strange situation as he doesnt inspire confidence and always looks to have an error in him, but you check his record and its the best in the league!

he is not helped by playing alongside players like bamba who play him into trouble, and who is even more error prone by the way, IMO.

people are saying the wind was bad against millwall, but his kicking has been poor all season. whenever the ball is played back, you always expect a mistake. players will pick up on that and look to put him under more pressure.

he seems to have that effect on a number of fans...but i feel the opposite, he cuts out so much stuff before it becomes dangerous instead of being glued to his line..and as for strikers picking up on the odd stray kick..its not the kicks they pick up on its poor first touch..Etheridge has a very good first touch for a keeper,hence the amount of back passes aimed { often litterally aimed } at him..
nice to see him have some credit after being blamed for some goals that were not his fault.

if there is an obvious weakness in someone's game, you improve them by pointing it out and working on it - i hope the goalkeeping coach has picked up on this.
