im sure if it was we would have many more members.
would take away issues for fans and coach operators re fan numbers
club would have a better idea of who is actually attending as opposed to what fan numbers have been used.
and the club would have up to date info on all these people to mail or email news of any offers etc.

I personally don't believe in memberships, I believe buy your tickets, give yr name & address and get points as you go, so when big games, more points, gives you first right :thumbright:

Win tomorrow night against Ipswich and I reckon we will sell 2600. Lose and the current figure won't change that much. Looking forward to Bristol away however many we take. :bluescarf:

Look at Leeds- no one wants to go there !

This is brilliant Tim, Cheers, I am going to really study it and put it out proper later in the week :thumbright: :thumb right:

Tim, Cardiff are the 6th highest visiting supporters with an average of 2,144, that puts to bed that No one comes to Cardiff.
Plus our home average is only 18,696 if you take away the away support.

Bradford home average minus away fans 19,227.

So an average of 944 away fans have visited Bristol City.

10th best home supported 23,732 minus away support.

Cardiff are 11th best supported at home in the Championship 5,000 less than 10th, minus home support. 18,696.

There's loads on there .

How about we are 7th in the division ( and above everyone in the other leagues) for average away fans when distance is taken into account ?

Fulham away we've taken more than anyone including Sheff Wed ( if I'm reading it right, the table is tiny)
Our average away is above all the lower league sides including Bradford and Pompey ( as it should be given our position), with Blackburn the only club to better us, thanks to a load of local derbies.
By the way, not knocking Bristol City taking 1500 to Sunderland- however it was their first trip there since 1998 !

Tim, it certainly is at this stage :thumbright: lets hope it continues to increase as Warnock deserves it :thumbright:

I rem the old days Blackburn were one of the worst away supported in all the Leagues, they use to bring 50 fans to us and Charlton,Fulham etc.

Sad we have to compare ourselves with lower league clubs.

The good thing is our away support is currently about 550 up on last season, that for me is very good, but then I suppose spending the first quarter of the season in the Top 2 of the Championship we should expect it to be :bluebird:

Being Top 2 in the Championship has brought some of our fans back and more need to return as well :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

To think the last three seasons we have been 3rd,3rd and 5th worst away supported, Massive improvement on and off the pitch :bluebird: :bluebird: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

As I said I intend to really study it as i love crowds :thumbright:

Fulham away was Superb by us :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright: but thats a one off, We need to turn up more than once/twice a season :bluebird: :bluebird:

Fulham was a one off . Hopefully we can get near 3k on Sat as Reading will be down due to the Monday ko and Forest will be down as well.
I would have taken 2 coaches to Reading if it was Sat, but may not even have 1 now.

Forest I'm probably going up for the weekend, so no coach there either.

Barnsley we'll have no more than 3-400 I reckon.

Hoping Bolton will be reasonable especially if we are still doing well.

You’ve got to take into account though different clubs have different set ups, for instance their membership prices maybe less, they may pay towards travel, they may open away tickets to general sale after a certain amount of time at a slight higher rate, members/st may be able to purchase additional tickets.

We do seem rather rigid, like a few posters I’ve had a few lads who occasionally go that wanted to go sat but it’s just me and the old man no flex, puts people off a bit

Iv just got my tickets for Saturday and I asked how many had been sold so far and she said not many atall and she thinks the reason is behind the price... Is the 2100 sold yesterday accurate?

It's roughly 2,100, I was told today it was just under, which shocked me.

The price is not the cheapest, but not the dearest in the Championship.
Its not far to travel, cost you about £7 each sharing a car, so you save there.
Its our local derby away game and the truth is,if our fans really wanted to go they would go, 38 miles up the road. :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

We just have not got the big support many of us thought we had, including myself :bluebird:

Then there’s another point Annis for the club to either subsides ticket prices or arrange transport let alone making the tickets available to general sale, I can’t find anyone to lend me a few numbers to get lads down there

I personally don't believe in Memberships a con in my opinion, just extra money for clubs, but 90% of Championship clubs run Membership.

Just looked at Ipswich fans coming this long journey tonight

Travelling to Cardiff

Supporters Coach £37 and £24 entrance (member)

For those travelling from Ipswich the official coaches are leaving Portman Road at 11:00 at a cost of £37 for adults (with concession prices for U23’s, U19’s and 65+ Seniors), and are estimated to arrive back at Portman Road at 04:00. There are scheduled stops on the outward and return journey at Hopwood Park on the M42. Coaches can be booked onwww.itfcdirect.com. The coach is a good option if you are wanting to get back to Ipswich straight after the game and you don’t want to take a car.
Match ticket £24 with your membership.

Ipswich away membership £19.95p.
