Whether it's money, time or a combination of several things, I don't know but you can put big money on it happening.

It wouldn't have made any difference to me if we were in the Premier League, 2 games a week no matter what the ticket price is not affordable for me at the present time.

crowds jump about at most clubs mate...
its only 16 years since our average was 7k..and 19 years since it was 3k..
which means....the majority of super fans over the age of 35 shouting plastics are themselves the plastics...
what on earth gets in someones head to think of themselves as a better fan..?

At last some sense. I hate the snobbery of some fans following CCFC. Try supporting the team on the pitch instead of looking around the stadium moaning about empty seats.
There’s fvck all anyone can do about it, it’s a free country and people can do as they please. I choose to go and support City so that’s all I care about.

i found this online a few months ago..its a response from west yorkshire police to a freedom of information enquiry .i did post it then ..for all the good it did.
not so much having a pop at Leeds but more to show that attendances vary everywhere. and words like plastic..gloryhunter and fickle are NEVER associated with this club like they are with ours..
note the drop of 10k between the Barnsley and Wigan games despite winning the Barnsley game plus their previous 2 at Elland rd.
also..........the drop of nearly 14k between the Villa and Reading games.having been on a good run and having climbed to 4th in table and beating Villa....
some of the away followings are woth a look to...blackburn 252 ? 57 miles away
Wigan..259..56 miles away.....

it happens everywhere, always has always will..football fans know this...plastics please catch up...

I took 9 with me on Tuesday night, all are involved with the local football club playing or coaching. I could have paid them to go Saturday and they wouldn't because they are committed but they absolutely loved it and will be back for more when the opportunity arises.

It's not rocket science. We had 9k extra fans for Leeds because IT WAS CHEAPER!! If you fancy lending those extra 9k fans a few hundred quid each so they can afford to go to every game the rest of this season, I'm sure they will come!
Stop slating these extra 9k, who would probably love to be there every game, but because of circumstances, they can't afford to go to every game. Some people can only afford to pick and choose certain games and the Leeds game was an obvious game to attend with the cheap ticket prices.
Before anyone responds with the "we would sell out in the Premiership" argument, that's because a portion of 'fans' who attended our Premiership games are the real plastics, as they simply used our club as a convenience to watch Premiership football. These plastics weren't Cardiff fans and these same plastics have probably gone to watch Swansea several times to see some live Premiership football.
In the Championship, our attendances will always consist of the season ticket holders, plus whoever else can afford to attend on the day, which unfortunately is only a few thousand extra because of the circumstances of every day life living in this area really. We will only see crowds vastly exceeding 20,000 if the ticket prices are cheap like Leeds, or if we are performing so well that a few thousand of these Premiership plastics decide to attend.
I also know people who follow a Premiership team but Cardiff is their second team. If we are still challenging for promotion at the end of the season, guaranteed these people will start showing up to boost our attendance. But until then, it's silly of us to expect anything over 20,000 imo.

Get a grip FFS
If you have the cash to buy every ticket, fair play to you.
If you can afford to travel to every game, fair play to you.
But don't taunt people who haven't got your resources.
People really need to get over this 'we're a massive club' nonsense.

Really no excuse there unless individuals are financially struggling.
You can guarantee that should we get promoted many "fans" will return to see their favourite teams/players, not necessarily Cardiff!!
What I personally would like to see is if we gain promotion, ST holders get a reduced price for the PL and the "Johnny come lately" supporters pay more, a lot more. We would have no problem filling in the stadium in any event.
Until then us loyal fans should enjoy watching the Bluebirds doing well and in most cases playing good football.![]()
