it's only talks mate, player has a few options i understand so dont get your hopes up mate, guess hes just taking options in before making a choice, embargo , defered wages etc hardly going to be that attractive package i wouldnt have thought, although after his prem years he should have put enough away but theres no sentiment in football i guess!

Wayne, the £12million people speak of is nothing to do with the Langston loan note.

Ive heared that the money maybe aN inheritance due to a death in family but dont qoute me on that as its just something I heared mentioned , I still donr understand tho why Langston are after CCFC and NOT Sam for the money ? At the end of the day ANY investor has to be good for CCFC :ayatollah:

Question to you Carl were those quotes correct?

Daya I was not quoted in the Echo nor did I read the quotes, but I have to believe those quotes are in there otherwise you would not mention them but who are the quotes from ?

Equally that still does not mean that Sam Hammam has told TG or anybody else for that matter that he has £12million to invest. Dont want to sound upitty ( sp ) but I dont believe that this figure was mentioned between Sam and TG.

Here's a story from the Echo

http://tinyurl.com/2u89ebx

in which Terry Phillips says;

"Hammam insists he is prepared to invest ‘substantial millions’ into the football club, thought to be up to £12m"

Annis is also quoted in this piece saying "But he is prepared to invest substantial millions" about Hammam's possible return to the club and the same quote from Annis appears here

I see Sam is quoted as having created "more than £100m of assets" for the club during his time here.

It is that kind of fantasy that worries the hell out of me that he might ever be involved in the club again in future.

Roberts or Scotland would also fit the bill there ?

A 10 or 20 million investment could well see us promoted (i reckon it would for most clubs in this league mind as its always tight), no outstanding team or teams this season I'd say. If TG is looking for a football man then Sam could be the man, as long as he stays away from the finance side which i am sure he would then why not? No more langston debt? Pay off PMG (the leeches) and we may start to progress....be a right shame for this season to be a nothing season, which lets face it, its looking like.

It would be used to pay off debts not get us promoted. At least I hope so anyway.

I think Harewood is a good shout.

Reading Daya's post he says 'although after his prem years he should have put enough away' so cant see it being Scotland.

This is the biggest thing that worries me regarding any possible return of Sam to the club. He definitely has the passion, it's questionable whether he has the finances but lets assume he has, he may still have the football contacts/knowledge although he has been out of the game for around 5 years.

Is Sam capable of working under or with other investors on a short leash? I'd say the Sam who was here last time isn't capable of this. It's not in his nature, he prefers to be in control. It's not a criticism of Sam, it's just the way he is IMO.

If Sam was brought back in, I don't think it would be long before him and the Malaysians fall out and we'd have even more trouble in the board room.

An educated guess tells me its Jason Roberts as he is also talking to other clubs including Bristol City I hear.
