Too be fair he has been very good so far, mistakes will happen, wish the guy behind ne would shut up, the usual cry went up after his mistake get that C&*t off, then again he says this about half the team every game we play

Frustrating individuals to have get to you.
Has anyone told him to wind his neck in?

Don't get people on this thread. If people aren't allowed to discuss the game and the players just shut the forum down !
He was to blame for the goal, so it's natural it would be a talking point

I can't understand why some people rate Marshall so highly, as he never dominated his penalty area consistently, would stay on his line far too often and allow the defenders to try and clear the ball, especially when he first came to us. I'm not saying he was a poor keeper, far from it, but he was never as good as some people make out and Tom Heaton was the best all round goalkeeper IMO. Heaton's kicking was exceptionally poor when he first came to us. but look where he is now.
I love the way that Etheridge is prepared to come running miles out of his goal to help out the back four and he's not afraid to come for a cross. Yes, he may well have been culpable for the goal yesterday, but we've only conceded 2 goals in 5 games against some quality opposition and he's saved some nailed on goals in those matches as well.
IMO, Etheridge has the potential to be a better all round goalkeeper than both Marshall & Heaton, as he's ahead of where I believe Marshall & Heaton were when they first came to us, especially in the faults I've identified in their games at the same stages in their Cardiff careers.
All goalkeepers make mistakes, but he's playing at a higher level than he's played at previously and give him a bit of time and patience, I believe he'll eradicate the majority of his errors and develop into a fine goalkeeper.

Well said squire. Marshall was always a concern for me right up until he left dealing with set pieces.
