Because when he no longer is a novice, he might cost them an extra £50m. As simple as that. Clubs shit scared of the big fees.

Actually didn't realise he has playred 175 games in Europe for a couple decent sides and scored 50 goals! so only a novice in championship terms. Cant believe he will ever be worth more than 25m no matter who the team is and regardless how well he ultimately does for us
