I have an ST but would happily pay a subscription to be able to see our away games.

It's to protect the income of teams through turnstiles and food, drink and merchandise.

It's not as if the clubs are the biggest in the world and could command 100's of thousands of paying subscribers.

I believe in the future live broadcasts of away games may be available as a season ticket leaving stadiums for home fans only.

If you are in the UK, yes. They are hit and miss though and some people pay for better ones.

As soon as I am overseas this is going to be brilliant.

Not sure... we need a willing volunteer to go through and test it :P any one...?

It's about £110 if I get 10 volunteers to chuck me a tenner if it doesn't work I'll give it a go.

If it works I pay. If it doesn't we all pay a lot less.

Anyone trust me?

Sod it - think I will just give it a go for Burton! :ayatollah:

I will report back

Worked for me lads!!!! :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

I bought the individual match option today, $7.
Used my UK address to register as well as my UK debit card details.
It seems that you're fine to do this (at least on the individual match basis) as long as you're using a VPN.
I use ExpressVPN now, really good. Used to use Overplay but the service was a bit hit and miss.
Definitely worth doing for any games you can't get to.

Paid $140 to watch it in the US. The quality of the picture was excellent but the sound did come through a bit delayed. Streamed it though my laptop and connected it to the tv, overall I was impressed.

Worked great for me! The only minor issue is the streak is slightly delayed so the app told me Ken scored vbefore the screen did!

Worked okay for me. Purchased from a UK registered address and with a UK Bank debit card. So they don't to any sort of checks.

Using a free VPN so the speed dropped now and again but worked fine on my phone which the cast it's screen to the TV.

How technology has advanced. I even had to go up to Tesco for the missus and it streamed via 4G amongst the frozen veg.

Not being a tecnophobic if you download a vpn does it take over your internet provision all the time? Or is their an easy explanation for me how it works? :occasion5:

I use surf easy vpn. Have for. Few years and I pay for by service. It basically is software that you turn on and off. When on it sends your connection via another location so effectively fools the other side of your connection to thinking you are somewhere else. You have total control of it being on it off.

Worked for me lads, signed up night before here in Florida. Woke up early paranoid something would go wrong. Best $140 I've spent since emigrating here in 2004! Picture was crystal, cracking game - can't wait for the next!

For those of you who will be watching it on your phone/tablets. Download an app called TunnelBear and set it as USA and you'll will be able to watch it via the app. I had no problem with it yesterday and a very good quality.

There was a drop-down list of countries from which I had to select my country of residence (China in my case, of course). When I entered my bank details it then asked for the billing address associated to the card - this is my mother's address in Cardiff. I thought that when I entered a UK billing address it would get red flagged, but it didn't. I did enter my Chinese telephone number but I don't think that was a required field to be honest.
If push came to a shove I could have provided a Chinese bank card, however, the details linked to that are in Chinese characters and not pinyin (Roman numerals), so I'm not sure if their online form processing could handle that or not?

So far, I've watched the full 90 minutes of all our pre-season games (including Taffs Well!) but the Burton game will be the first chance to watch a live game.
My internet speed here is ridiculously slow, so I'm not sure how the stream will be affected by buffering. If buffering turns out to be an issue whereby it spoils the enjoyment I will just settle for watching the full 90 minutes the day after.
The quality of the videos I have seen so far has been quite good in all fairness, and with commentary too.

Can you share your today's live experience with me? because I'm still hesitating to purchase a season pass, as Internet service in China is weird, visiting overseas websites is always slow to tears. very concerned about the fluency of ifollow service in China.

Sorry about the late reply.

Well, as I have grown so accustomed to the ridiculously slow Internet speeds here in China, I decided not to put myself through the frustration of constant buffering and opted to watch the full 90 minutes recording the following day rather than the live stream. Living in China it's not difficult to avoid hearing Championship results and that's what I did (my Bristol City supporting mate who lives here sent me a text, but I refused to look at it until after I'd watched the whole of the game at 8pm local time, Sunday).
The quality of the recorded video was excellent and so was the commentary. Of course, I will have to give it a go at watching a live stream though - I mean, that's the whole point of having it.
I saw on other football forums that people were saying it worked better on the Chrome browser, so I'll also give that a try and delete all cookies helps too, apparently.
