Here is a great article on 'that' word and why it's ok for some black people to call each other nigger (or 'nigga' to be relevant) and why white people should never use it.

There is no reason why black people can use the N word but white people can't. That is fundamentally racist as it prefers one person over another based on their race or skin colour. Simply put the word is offensive whether it is said by a white man/woman, a black man/woman or an Asian man/woman.
We all know the history of the slave trade but that was ended over 200 years ago and the world has moved on. To try and justify racism against white people using that excuse is both offensive (because nobody alive today had anything to do with the slave trade) and completely stupid as I could raise the same complaints against the Romans, Vikings and Normans who invaded the UK and enslaved my ancestors.
If we are to truly to have an integrated society then this kind of nonsense has to be put to bed once and for all.
White men said that word to put black people down, there are negative connotations behind that word in particular coming from a white person to someone black, or about someone black.
If a black person used that term in an offensive manner, it would be offensive but there is no way that word can be said by a white person in a non offensive way. You say the world has moved on but it hasn't. Racism still is an issue.
So what your saying is Black people are not as capable as white people of moving beyond history and forging the future?
That is an inherently more racist (if far more subtler and more nuanced version of racism) than mere outdated and uncomfortable words like nigger.

A Tory Brexiteer has described the UK leaving the EU without a deal as a “real n*****r in the woodpile” at a meeting of eurosceptics in Central London.
Anne Marie Morris, MP for Newton Abbott since 2010, made the astonishing remark while discussing what financial services deal the UK could strike with Brussels after 2019.
Despite using the racist term, none of her fellow panelists, including Tory MPs Bill Cash and John Redwood, reacted.
After saying just 7% of financial services in the UK would be affected by Brexit, Morris said: “Now I’m sure there will be many people who’ll challenge that, but my response and my request is look at the detail, it isn’t all doom and gloom.
“Now we get to the real n****r in the woodpile which is in two years what happens if there is no deal?”
This is...
1. Political Correctness gone mad
2. An Example of Left Wing Bias in the Media
3. Fake News made up by the Elites
4. All of the above
I see Sky News was all over this story, blowing it all out of proportion, I have always maintained the media particularly the broadcasting media are made up of left wing elitists who try to brainwash the viewers with their politically correct bullshit
Nothing to do with left or right wing. The word Nigger is not acceptable.
Only acceptable it would seem if another black person calls another black person a nigger......go figure
You're not allowed to decide what people find offensive. They've taken a hate word and turned it around, like Cardiff fans calling ourselves sheep shaggers, or Bristol Rovers fans gasheads. That word has so many negative connotations, that anyone thick enough to say it in public shouldn't be an MP. It is completely unacceptable. She should be removed as an MP immediately but she won't, because our strong and stable leader can't afford to lose an MP, even if they'll probably win the subsequent by-election.
Whilst your right in almost everything you say how the f**k is Gas heads derogatory?
It's their nickname because they used to play next to a gas works???
"The Gas" was originally coined as a derogatory term by the supporters of Bristol Rovers' rivals Bristol City, and was in reference to the large gas works adjacent to the old Bristol Rovers stadium, in Eastville, Bristol which wafted the sometimes overpowering odour of town gas across the crowd.[28] "Gasheads" was adopted as a name by a splinter group of Rovers supporters in the mid-1980s to early 1990s. The chant "Proud to be a Gashead" spread to regular fans, and a fanzine was produced called The Gashead.

No, I'm not. I'm saying that black people have been subjected to hundreds of years of oppression and nobody would forget that in an instant. Racism is alive and well unfortunately. Don't use the N word. It's not f*cking hard, it is offensive and it upsets people, and I honestly can't think why anyone would want to say it.
