Yep. Success comes in all forms.

Romelu Lukaku had a successful season last year too, he didnt win the golden boot and Everton didnt get any silverware. Anyone who suggests Lukaku didnt have a successful season is deluded or lying :D


Very good season but not successful if he has no trophy to show for it.

Success doesn't mean you need a trophy, take Newport for example, Flynn came in just to see what he could do, he somehow kept them up in the league, survived that was a great success, no trophy but great success.

I wonder if you consider no trophy not success, does that mean you consider it a failure ?

Totally agree. Success is based on the perception of the fans and many Newport supporters would deem last season as a success by staying in the league with literally the last kick of the season.

Another example is the recent general election where the biggest party (the Tories) who formed the Government were perceived as failures whilst Labour who came some 60 seats behind the Conservative total were perceived as successful.
