I know the media are saying its a virtually NO about Joe Ledley coming to Cardiff City.
But I am hearing Ledley is pushing to come home and would take a pay cut, rem he's also a free agent.
I have also heard if Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock can get an increased budget of Tan, which I have heard Warnock has asked for, then Ledley would be on the cards for next season to be a Bluebird![]()

Joe Ledley has bought a house in Penarth and yes Joe Ledley would love to move back to Cardiff and play for his hometown club, but also his family want to as well and Ledley loves being close to his family in Fairwater.
Joe Ledley a hero for Wales and it would be fantastic to also see Ledley be a hero and help get his hometown club Cardiff City promoted to the Premier League.

What part of needing pace in our midfield do you not understand
Granted but what part of we conceded to many goals last season do u not understand? Ledley is an upgrade on what we have,he's free and wants to play for Cardiff unlike some players who are only there for the pay packet,it would mean we still have our full budget to spend on a number ten and a striker and a winger
conceded too many goals.? only 3 more than Huddersfield who are now in the prem.
and 3 less than reading who were only penalty kicks away from the prem themselves.

Can't believe some city fans don't want him. At our level joe will be class and him and gunnarson can be the strongest centre mid pairing. Just need a class.forward to support ken

I did'nt want Lambert and most on here said he would tear this division apart. That worked out well. I feel the same about Ledley. He will be one of the slowest players at this level, he appears to be unable to last for a full 90 minutes, and like Lambert, I think he will be one big disappointment.

Nigel Harris: The dilemma here is that Joe, even with a pay cut, would still be a huge chunk of budget when he is too similar a player to Ralls and Gunnar. City's cental mid is crying out for a more creative, goalscoring option.

Is that (a) the same level of sentimentality as he had when he left us?![]()
OR (b) will there really be an increase of ticket sales that will ONLY truly improve from what it is currently with a winning side and NOT because of an individual literally 'using' us for his own ends?![]()
OR (c) is it really going to provide us with anything stronger/better than what we already have in that position and on (possibly less than) half the wages?![]()
Each to their own I guess, but Joe Ledley would ONLY come back to Cardiff City FC because it suits him in a similar fashion to the way he left because it suited him (and his Agent, of course) and he won't care any more now than he didn't then!![]()
Sentimentality went out of the proverbial window as fast as he did when he left for the £££££'s of the one-team League and besides that I have to agree with 'OriginalGrangeEndBlue' in his assessment!![]()

Ledley using us for his own ends? A player that WANTS to live in Cardiff is not a bad thing!
I sort of agree we are well covered at DMC, we will need more creative flair somewhere in that squad for improvements![]()

Allan, I've already stated elsewhere I will back Warnock's judgement even on Ledley but I don't have to like it when/if he comes back and he won't be getting any 'Heores Welcome' from me!
just my opinion, of course...but it seems shared by quite a few others!![]()

Well for what it's worth I'm totally indifferent to him signing but can only back NW to get things right regardless of the signing being popular or not with fans !

Again, each to his/her own but the only applause he'd get from me would be 'by default' as he walks out with the rest of the team that I would be applauding; always assuming he didn't end up as a bench-warmer, as some of us believe he would![]()
There's still hope that Neil Warnock was sincere in his "Ledley not for us" comments and has 'other' targets. I'd rather see that horrible little player Charlie Adam here. He's been a thorn in our side over many years (starting with that Wembley Play-Off) and could do a good job for us strengthening up the midfield and scoring a few goals whilst he's at it!
