Believe it when I see it , can't see him signing for them

Whittingham can do what he wants in my eyes. He's a nice enough bloke. He's shown enough commitment to us over the years. If he signs for Bristol City for the sake of his family then so be it. I'm happy to let him have that one.

Agree totally. Personally, I feel we'll be making a massive mistake by letting him go, I think he's still got plenty to give us. Give him a two year contract our Neil. :bluebird:

Can't blame him for wanting to play more regularly, but to go to Bristol is not doing his reputation any favours.

He's been a great player over the years so it would be sad to see him 'jump over the fence' all the same.

Why would anyone be upset by this? He's been an incredible servant over the years and needs a job like all of us. If they are offering better terms and regular football he has to go. And he can stay in Penarth.
Good luck to him, whatever he decides. :notworthy:

If he can't get the terms he want's here he'd be a foo-fooing idiot not to sign for someone who'll pay him proper money, RIVAL OR NO. Can't take away what he's done here, like many have said on here over the years; Peter Whittingham-he does what he wants :ayatollah: If he goes its with my very best wishes. :bluescarf:

Agree. :thumbright:

I hope he stays. Signing for Bristol City is the same as signing for Swansea as far as I'm concerned. The Worzels are not just any old club.

If I worked for Sky and BT offered me a better deal for me and my family I'd take it.
I agree that PW is a nice guy etc but maybe the fact he's stayed so 'loyal' is the fact his missus point blank refuses to move away.

I still think we should offer him a half decent contract just out of principal for what he's done for us he stayed loyal to us when pl clubs we're coming in for him. Thats not to mention what he brings in football terms , wish him well either way a true club legend :bluebird:

Thankfully your not running our club or we'd be nowhere nearer clearing our debt. Whitts has been paid very well by the club over the years why offer him high wages out of principal?

Have no doubt, we have seen the best of Whittingham, but i'd be overjoyed if he stayed.
On the other hand I'm not going to start slagging him off if he has a better deal elsewhere.
He has given us a lifetime of good memories. :ayatollah:

I think Whittingham is done, to be honest. I hope he doesn't join Bristol City. Great servant to our club and should he be offered a new contract, I'd be happy for him to stay - and prove me wrong.

not so sure about the many posts like yours that think he is done.

he was never a tough tackler who enjoyed the hustle and bustle, quick, or one for going past opponents. his game was always about space, vision and passing.
this season just gone considering his game time his assists and goals were good.hasnt been out for months with injury or in fact has always been doubtful because of nigles..{ unlike many }.
quite simply Warnock wants more of the direct hustle and bustle and dont pick him.
i love watching Whitts. but i know im not going to be watching him if he stayed.so good luck to him .
i hope he scores 30 for them, gets player of the year there. but they still go down.
