Of course the parents are involved, they have done everything in their power to block the truth from coming out and have massively profited from manipulating the public, using donations to their 'find Madeleine' fund to pay off their own mortgage.

The parents have refused to take a lie detector test, refused to answer countless questions to cooperate with the Portuguese police and they did everything they could to block the Portuguese police from continuing their investigation.

They also tried getting the Portuguese detective who led the inquiry, Goncala Amaral's book 'The Truth of the Lie' banned from being sold because of the claims he made against them. The parents have recently lost their third court appeal to silence Amaral.

Wikileaks revealed police sketches giving some frightening speculation of who the suspects could be and what the suspects are a part of as well; but that's Wikileaks, so I will let everyone make up their own minds about that.

Whatever happened, the parents seem very happy for the truth to stay hidden. Sadly, Madeleine isn't the only child to go missing over the past 10 years, but it's only Madeleine we hear about in the press/media because I believe the parents have some friends in very high places.[/quote]

Spot on mate. Something stinks about it. The parents were telling lies right from the off. I'll never forget Gerry McCann saying they had "a clear line of sight" from where they were to the apartment. Bullshit. I know the area. Got relatives living very close to where it happened. No way did they have sight of the apartment and if they did couldn't have got there quickly if they'd seen something. Apart from that ask yourself WTF our secret services were involved within 48 hours and why so much government attention. The parents also had high powered lawyers in liable law working for them putting out super injunctions against any person or organisation suggesting something other than their tissue thin story. It stinks. The establishment is somehow involved. I have my own theories. Someone in the group was involved in something that would have been a bombshell had it got out. I don't know. The sad thing is a little girl went missing and despite all the posturing and the vast amounts of public money handed over, no real searches have ever taken place. One thing that got me is that when after many years a photo-fit of a guy seen carrying a small child in the early hours by an Irish family eventually got out it was a dead ringer for Gerry!! Look it up, they didn't manage to cover that up.

I'm not convinced they had anything to do with it though tbh, the Portuguese Police were so incompetent and their theory was full of holes as shown in the program. We will probably never know the truth now.

Absolutely agree 100% with you on this one, the Portugese police were just incompetent and we will probably never know exactly what happened to Madeline McCann. Hopefully she is still alive and well somewhere and living some kind of "normal" life.

The parents behaviour was shocking leaving not just Maddie but 2 even younger children on their own. One thing I didn't realise which came out last night was that they left the patio doors to the apartment unlocked that evening....who the hell would do that if your 3 kids were alone in the apartment???

The McCann parents have always come across as strange and seemingly above the law...their story just doesn't seem to add up, but like I said the truth will probably never come out unfortunately.

The one thing that I simply couldn't understand was the bit about leaving the patio doors unlocked? WHY?
That to me just highlights their extraordinary naivety and these are supposed to be well educated people?

As already stated the McCann's were wrong to leave their children unattended.

However, leaving the patio door open could be explained by in the event of a fire the children or anyone offering assistance would need quick access. Also apparently they were being checked on regularly by other members of the group who would also need access.

That doesn't absolve them from neglect but it is a credible reason why the door was left unlocked.

Sorry not buying that. If they HAD to leave the patio doors unlocked for whatever reason they should not have been where they were. If the doors were locked all they had to do was give whoever was checking on the children the key to gain access, lock the doors and then bring the key back. It is beyond belief that in a foreign country you would go out and leave an apartment unlocked with your young children inside while you are out dining with friends and out of sight of the apartment. If you can't see that is wrong then I think you are very much in a minority.

Look it's odd, the whole thing but I still don't think the parents did it. Ok let's say they did do it...the. What was their motive? Surely all this would have been investigated....friends and family questioned into how the McCann's have previously interacted with Maddie? And where the whole theory of being drugged come from? Who's to say the perhaps Maddie climbed out the window herself looking for her parents perhaps? And then was picked up. I don't know more than anyone else about it but I just have a gut feeling that they didn't! Many people have focused on the reasons going against the parents as opposed to for. Again as said previously they should not have left her in the apartment but then I've been left in similar situations so perhaps they were just complacent of anything happening?

And if someone parents or someone else had just kidnapped or abducted a child....they are very unlikely to go down the street carrying that child? Surely they are more likely to use a vehicle?

I never said they were not irresponsible for leaving their children alone but the question was why did they leave the door unlocked? I was just pointing out that in the event of a fire quick access would be needed. If a fire had broken out and the children had died because no-one could get in then finger pointers like you would be asking why didn't they leave the door open?

That said I agree they should never have left their children alone and apparently there was crèche facilities at the resort. The McCann's will always have to live with the fact they didn't do the responsible thing and use them.

Well apparently according to the Portuguese Police the McCann's accidently overdosed Maddie with Calpol  The murder 'weapon' was the syringe which comes with the bottle (anyone with or who has had little children will know).

Gerry McCann is a Heart Consultant and Kate McCann was a GP yet between the pair of them they managed to 'overdose' Maddie :? by giving her at least several doses of the medicine. After that they 'hid' her body in a fridge before disposing of it weeks later without any motive.

Honestly can anyone remotely start to believe any of that?
