I don't know if you're right Wayne because I don't know the exact circumstances, however in a Q&A in Caerphilly last month at that time Warnock said he had made Whittingham an offer which he had not yet accepted but that due to financial constraints Warnock had to withdraw the offer so that he could reconsider it at the end of the season.

The endless spiralling of wages is strangling football, particularly in this country. It needs a major overhaul and I've only got utter contempt for status and greed I'm afraid.

I wouldnt give whits or any squad player over 10 k aweek same people saying we should give him more are moaning that our wage bill is too high ,i trust warnock to make the right call ,i think the days of average players getting top championship/lower premiership wages have gone at cardiff which i think is a good thing
