I'm probably going to get told to "move on" and "get over it" for saying this... but it's Tan! A lot of people fell out of love with the club over his rebrand and it's going to take more than having our blue back with a compromised badge to repair that damage... an apology from him would be a good start! You can quote figures of how much money he's put in, but a lot of fans don't care about that. Football is more than a new stadium and big name players and success. Yes, we all love it when City are winning games, but that's not the be all and end all... the fact we had bigger, more passionate crowds in the "bad times" proves that.

I'm not gonna say "move on " or "get over it" but you and all the people who think that when Tans gone all our problems will be solved are in dire need of therapy.People come and go as supporters, just about the only thing that hasn't changed in football.Things are looking up at our club.best to look forward and not harp on about what is quickly becoming ancient history. :bluebird:

Well said, Sneggybluebird

Surprised at how many people keep harking on about 'traditions' and 'history' when according to those very same people our 'traditions' and 'history' vanished the day Vincent Tan made his big mistake, i.e. the (thankfully resigned to the very history they declared defunct) red 'home' playing kit ;)

It's gone now and we need to move on without all the acrimony that still festers. The club (surely with the approval of Vincent Tan?) are sorting their act out and with the appointment of Neil Warnock have finally pulled off a master stroke that will hopefully see the club on an upward spiral on the pitch! :ayatollah:

I know some people don't like to hear this, but one of the reasons hundreds, maybe even thousands of people from the Valleys don't go anymore is because hooliganism is dead! That was part of the day out for many, like it or not...

Yes Bradford for four years have been paying £199 for Adults and £99 and £50 for under 16's Division one football(Div 3), but only if bought very early.

17,500 sold every year.

They take on average away about 1,500 fans.

I wish Cardiff City would do this on our season ticket sales :thumbright:

Bradford City so far for next season

They are hoping to get over 18,500 for next season and are just about in the play-offs of Div1

Brilliant prices fair play, it's a shame more Clubs don't do the same.

Solskar Slade trolope terrible football to watch. No loan players kumas o niel fowler ( not that he was any use or i thought he ever would Be). And of course hassrbank Mr belemey no home grown players coming through and the red thing all these have had an effect.
I hope next year it picks up I notice Thiers no seats available in the family stand whatsoever for season tickets yet it's never always full ?

where have all the fans gone.? we just didnt have a big enough hard core.
the problem is not TAN ,the problem is 30 years of lack of investment in a club that was unfashionable and was synonymous with hooliganism.
as for away, when going away DIDNT include a family picnic with the dog and gran in tow our suport was good{ but hardly anyone took thousands every week }
things have changed. we are not as big as some clubs when it comes to pop and crisps trips .. big deal

Mate, the problem is still here Tan :D

so the problem is bigger crowds.?

Annis wants some honesty.....well as far as I'm concerned (and I've said this loads of times) the people of Cardiff do not pull their weight when it comes to supporting THEIR football team. Our attendances are poor when compared to some smaller towns and cities and would be an awful lot worse if it wasn't for the substantial support we get from the Valleys.

Has anyone at the Club ever done any research into this? Until the Club has identified the reasons why hundreds of thousands of people who live within a 5 or 6 mile radius of the Club do not bother to watch their local professional team in a modern stadium then they will never be able to figure out a way how to get them to come along to support the team. It's simple market research. You employ a team of experts to do the work for you and present you with their findings. Only then does it give the Club to attract new fans.

Of course, the best way of attracting new fans is for the team to start winning more regularly next season and to get in and around the promotion places...the key then is to build a much stronger bond than we did when we last had big crowds in the promotion season and our brief time in the Premier League, in order that when results start to go against us fans stay loyal to us rather than leave us in their droves.

I really believe a top six challenge next season will bring the crowds back. Even those who do cite Tan as their main reason will return with a successful, winning team.
Warnock is a masterful motivator, but he's lucky to have such a great team of coaches alongside him as well.
I'm looking forward to next year and seeing a few of my old mates back supporting us.

We will only get big crowds in this division if we are pushing for promotion.

not sure if we need..new fans..just the old fans to turn up ,i know loads who consider themselves Cardiff fans but hardly ever go. the club have most of their details along with a fan number on the database.
