Those that have made the point about the wages, it is a valid one to be fair and not one I took into consideration with my estimates.

It would be hard to get say a £1 million for someone like Noone as there are not many Clubs who are going to match his wages unless they get him for a snip so it is more likely he see's out his contract and moves for free at the end.

What a mess.

A mess indeed

Thankfully one that (at least on the surface) appears to be being addressed as some players are shipped out and contracts come to an end. With Neil Warnock in charge, I think it is safe to say any players remaining for next season will deserve to be here and will be 'of value' to the team, if not the transfer market! :ayatollah:

its the wages are the key mate.
its why so many players leave by mutual consent and get a big propotion of contract paid just to leave.
its not they are totally crap and other clubs are not interested in them, its a case of the clubs that are interested dont want to take on their wages even if there is no transfer fee.
a player no longer wanted with 2years left on contract on 20k =2mill over the 2 years. his agent can only get him 10k elsewhere. choice A stays here picking up 20k and dont play. or we pay him say 1m saving 1mill over 2 years. he signs elsewhere.
