We know what is missing. A consistent forward line for a start, although I have to say that I can see an improvement occurring if the coaching staffs can get Harris, Noone and Hoilett to finish their often impressive runs with a decent ball into the box with far more regularity
Overall, not a 'bad' performance from Cardiff City against a team who were in the Premier League last season. I thought the keeper and the defence did well as a unit (Morrison and Richards in particular) and a draw would have been a far more just result![]()
Chris, the last three seasons we have said the same.
Norwich/Reading ordinary teams, if we had fire power we would of won both games![]()
Annis, our play up until the 18-yard box is often better than good but so often goes to waste. The obvious improvement in 'game' coaching by New Warnock, Kevin Blackwell, Ronnie Jepson and their team is plain to see and I feel we are not too far short of a team able to hold our own fighting for at least a Top 6 place next season and beyond![]()
The mood of many is often set purely by whether City win, draw or lose rather than how the team actually performed in the game itsel
A 1-0 win is greeted by "We'll make the play-offs", whilst a 1-0 loss is greeted with "We're being dragged back into the relegation fight!"
Thanks to Neil Warnock and his coaching team, it is unlikely that we'll be troubled by being too involved at either end of the table and I feel sure 'due diligence' is being carried out right now with regard to what is needed for a big improvement next season
In Neil Warnock we trust...and so should Vincent Tan![]()

In all those games we could and maybe should have taken some points and that is down to NW and the manner in which he has re-organised the unbalanced squad he took over back in October.
If he had been supported by the club during January I have no doubt we would have taken some points from those 3 games, but for whatever reason he wasn't and that beggars belief, and right now we have to complete this seasons fixtures with the smallest squad in over 20 years. The fact that 4 of the players left in the squad are injured only puts into perspective the massive challenge facing NW between now and May.
When this season is over and I believe by hook or crook NW will keep us in this division then two things MUST happen. Firstly he should be FULLY supported by our owner and secondly he MUST be placed SOLELY in charge of player recruitment.
Anything less and sadly I can see him walking and that would be a disaster.

Gary as usual spot onand much to sensible for the Tan followers on here, they need to open their eyes and see Warnock was virtually begging to be backed and is not asking to break the bank, we could easily have beaten those clubs if Warnock had had two of the players he wanted.

Correct me if wrong annis but did we not miss one of his targets because NW was asleep plus agent didnt ring back? (His words) and did he say he wasn't backed by club because certainly on deadline day he was backed!! To me NW must take some blame for missing out on players!

Allan, Warnock was honest to say that it was he joking? but he also stated due to how the transfer committee was set up he missed out.

So he was joking suppose that was to avoid saying he had no money to spend? From what I read he just stated he didn't think committees work (he as a point there) neither did 4 previous managers recruitment but Again that had nothing to do with missing out on Tues if you believe him? Then all this nonsense coming out from him that's being quoted on here are very contradictive in terms! Prefer to wait until summer before passing judgement

We are already flirting with relegation, we would be down already if we had kept Trollope.
The club will drift even further if there is no investment, and will be relegated next season.
Not sure how he (VT) will then manage to sell it then, other than at a massive loss.

CARDIFF CITY TODAY WONT GO ANYWHERE WITH OUT BACKING & IT WAS PROVED YET AGAIN
Clubs like Norwich,Reading and Brighton and they are not even the big clubs have all spent money and we have just lost to the three clubs.
In the second-half we huffed and puffed and without any quality we were never going to win this game.
Personally I thought the first-half was evens and Cardiff losing 0-1 at half-time was a bit harsh, but ex Cardiff striker came back to haunt Cardiff yet again.
Thats what happens when you have a quality striker.

For me the first half was an even game and the best chance came to Norwich after Sean Morrison played a weak back pass and Cameron Jerome intercepted and it was one on one, but thankfully McGregor made a good save![]()
In the 39th min ex Cardiff striker Cameron Jerome, headed the ball beyond a stranded Allan McGregor and made it 0-1 to Norwich.
Personally I thought Norwich going in at half-time 0-1 was a bit harsh on Cardiff.

Cardiff attacked more in the second-half,but to no avail.
Craig Noone came on for Hoilett, who got a high five from Neil Warnock.
In the 72nd min - Cardiff made another change: Whittingham came off and Rhys Healey came on.
Penalty??? NO, the referee gave a free kick the other way and shows a yellow card to Rhys Healey! The entire stadium was convinced he was foul, I can't wait to see the play back on tv later.
Minutes later City called for another penalty,Ref was not interested, Warnock was left fuming.
City never really looked like winning this game
