you can't say nothing you wanted our best striker/player gone a couple of seasons ago ( jones)because he didn't run round even though he scored near enough every gameRydogsccfc wrote:Dahboy wrote:We can't keep putting that donkey Zahore up top he is w**k.

After a really good team performance I think he got a positive answer to both those questions but sadly we are left with a few "What If's". Like what if we had a forward of Championship standard could we have got a point from that game. Sadly not even NW can make a "silk purse out of the sows ear" of our available forwards but boy has he got our team motivated, organised and capable of giving one of the best teams in the division a good game.
We will be safe this season and NW is proving we have the foundations of a squad capable of making a promotion push next season with the addition of 2-3 quality players, number 1 priority is of course a striker or two.
Let's hope NW gets the support to find and sign the players needed with no interference from the "Transfer Committee" who proved yet again last summer that, as a group, they are unfit for purpose.
Makes you wonder where we could be with an additional two or three quality signings. I guess other teams are saying something similar, and money is also an issue. I honestly believe a couple of extra quality players could have seen us challenging for a play off place. Hopefully next season.

Agree. Endeavour, effort and perspiration mean nothing if the no 9 Warnock picks is, let's be honest here, 2nd rate. He has had enough starts now since coming on v Wolves and had ONE goal to show for it. That is insufficient and merits in most teams a spell on the bench.
Lambert should have ben told he was playing last night from the off.

The same Lambert who has scored twice in his last 10 appearances for us. That would work out at around 9 goals in a season. Not brilliant stats for a striker, and I don't think he is the answer to our scoring problems although to be fair, he can be a nusiance to defenders which may have created a bit more space for other players.
