Correct and it was the Norwegians who were totally responsible, when Sam left Wimbledon they were still a top flight club.

At end of day Sam is hated by wombles fans for screwing their club and leaving them homeless! And Sam saw same opportunity to do same at city to make a few million at clubs expense, but council saw through him and refused to deal with him! Sam a crook doubt it but certainly a man with very little integratey when it came to making money at the expense of others

I got my copy from MacArthur Glen Bookshop,Bridgend for 3pounds in their sale.

I sometimes feel all the rich people are crooks and have done some nasty things to gain what they have.

Sams business at Wimbledon if anything captures the interest. He took a club at the bottom and put them at the top. What was more extraordinary about it is that he did it with a small size club that makes Bournemouth look like Barcelona. Their rise is associated with some of our famous footballers like John Fashanu, Vinnie Jones, Dave Beasant and Luware Sanchez. I do wonder if when the Bournemouth bubble bursts they will be able to boast such names. So not a bad thing to have on your CV is it.

Unfortunately for Sam people look at how he left Wimbledon. He was £30m richer and Wimbledon had no football stadium. Sam had plans to move Wimbledon to Dublin which went down like a lead balloon. This was the start of people questioning him. It caused the FA to start proceedings to stop such things happening. Due to the speed the FA work at they were not quick enough to stop the relocation of Wimbeldon to Milton.

During this sad episode I recall Sam saying if Wimbledon want to grow they need to relocate. That has always stuck in my mind and it was not long after Sam become our owner. Now I have always believed we can be a big club and with Sam joining us with his history to me it was the start of getting there.

Sam had a dream for us. He saw that Cardiff could give him that. His plan was going OK, a new stadium was in the pipeline to invite us into the premier. No one was calling him a crook then. Then bang it all went wrong and before we knew it we had a consortium (PMG) owning us with Peter Ridsdale as their puppet. Things turned nasty and name calling become the subject of the day.

I personally believe Sam wanted us to hit the big time. It went wrong for him and only he really knows why. Unfortunately for him and it being business the vultures moved in. Sam was out, PMG were in, the council were back on track and the new stadium was built. Sam did not prepare himself for this scenario which is unusual for a business man. The money he lent was unsecured leaving him vunerable.

Only because he didn't have enough control at the time. Sam aka Langston as we now know took us to court to get the club back. That was his intentions and a stop was put to that when Ridsdale said the club would go into administration itself if force to pay back Sam money.

That is not the whole truth.. I've read Rokke and Gjeldstens take on it. When they bought the club, the club was in a mess, the figures was in red, and sinking.
These are business men with more money than Tan, so they know the score..When they bought the club, there where stadium expansions in plan, and that what sold them, as their calculations showed they could turn it around. The club was dead either way. I don't remember why, but the expansion fell through, and they had to pull the plug. But they didn't start the mess, they tried to clean it.

The Taylor report demand ground improvements for premier clubs. I think this included full seating. Wimdledon needed to find a new ground or area to build one in South London. Plough Lane would have never made the criteria.
