' Aston Villa fans fighting with the Cardiff '

I'm afraid a lot of our fans are utter embarrassments these days. I don't go away much, partly because many people annoy me. Looking at that picture, it is difficult to defend them. People need heads banging together for behaving like that in front of young kids. Beer will have played a part but it is certainly no excuse.

Good post mate though putting your idiots next to our idiots is the last thing to do.

That's the first time I've taken my 4 year old and I won't take him to family stand. He's safer in the Canton stand. It's absolutely absurd that the family stand is next to away end Annis! Ridiculous situation. Those Villa lads have all been on the lash all day and then spit , swear , throw coins at the family stand for 90 minutes. It's crazy Annis. Then when they tried to charge the stewards to attack the Cardiff family's that was the last straw.

The family stand is not safe or fit for purpose. They SHOULD BE NO WHERE NEAR THE AWAY END!
4 year old boys shouldn't have to listen to that abuse!

To me it is common sense that you don't put young children at risk by placing them right next to the away fans. Whoever thought that brilliant idea up was a complete crackpot.

I was sat right next to their fans and it was a small group of that were the problem towards the end but it didn't come to blows. However, there were adults gesturing at kids throughout the match which is beneath cowardly. One dwarf-like one tried to run though the mesh at the end and a tiny steward got in his way who was floored.

The other stewards (supplied by Safestyle) did nothing and just watched as their 'colleague' struggled to get to his feet. Another Villa fan who looked like a crack addict was spitting into the stand and he looked like a disease carrier. A fat bloke who was gesturing at kids throughout the game slapped his own wife in the face to stop her shouting abuse! One launched a pint which went over him and his mates which whilst was amusing, is beneath cowardly as they are targeting families and kids - how brave.

A couple of us remained back as the inadequate stewards got organised as a few idiots were trying to get through as the families with real youngsters were queuing to leave.

Every club has a few like this but I've lost a bit of respect for them today as it was 'adults' targeting families which to me is beyond cowardly.

If any of that is true (and I'm not saying it's not) then CCTV will have picked it all up and I'm sure they will be getting a knock on the door anytime soon.

I was that 'fat bloke ' who slapped his wife.

Not a slap more of a push to stop her getting into trouble.. Trust me I've not heard the last of it!!

Can assure you I was not and would never give abuse to kids ... It was 1 bloke who wanted to take our Chat outside ( both sides have idiots)

Don't suppose anybody saw me pick up the steward that got knocked over and made sure he was ok.

Anyway my behavior at times yesterday was inexcusable and I offer my sincere apologies ( we've all got lost in the moment at times

I was sat right next to the Villa fans. They seemed to be very easily wound up
They had chance after chance to just walk past the stewards before the Police intervened, however they seemed more interested in puffing their chests out and holding each other back themselves
The family stand would have been a bit of a shock for them looking around at all the Cardiff old heads in there with their kids
